Methods and apparatus to determine an audience composition based on voice recognition
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a controller to cause a people meter to emit a prompt for input of audience identification information at a first time and determine a first audience count based on the input, an audio detector to determine a second audience count based on signatures generated from audio data captured in the media environment, and a comparator to cause the people meter to not emit the prompt for at least a first time period after the first time when the first audience count is equal to the second audience count.
UNOBTRUSIVELY ENHANCING VIDEO CONTENT WITH EXTRINSIC DATA
The playback of video content upon a display is enhanced through the unobtrusive presentation of extrinsic data upon the same display. A video content feature is rendered on a display. A quantity of extrinsic data relevant to a current time in the video content feature is determined based at least in part on viewing history of a user. A graphical element presenting at least a portion of the extrinsic data is rendered on the display while the video content feature is also being rendered on the display.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SERVING ADVERTISEMENTS DURING STREAMING OF DYNAMIC, ADAPTIVE AND NON-SEQUENTIALLY ASSEMBLED VIDEO
The present disclosure provides a system and method for serving one or more advertisements during streaming of dynamic, adaptive and non-sequentially assembled video. The method includes reception of a set of preference data and a set of user authentication data. The method includes fetching of the one or more tagged videos. The method includes fragmentation of each tagged video into the one or more tagged fragments. The method includes segregation of one or more mapped fragments into one or more logical sets of mapped fragments. The method includes mining of semantic context information from each mapped fragment. The method includes clustering of the one or more logical sets of mapped fragments into one or more logical clusters. The method includes allocation and insertion of one or more advertisements in one or more advertisement slots. The method includes assembling of the one or more logical clusters of mapped fragments.

Content-modification system with determination of input-buffer switching delay feature
In one aspect, a method includes: (i) determining a baseline input-to-output delay, which represents a time period between when content is input into a first input buffer and output by an output buffer; (ii) establishing a synchronous lock between (a) first fingerprint data representing content in the first input buffer and (b) second fingerprint data representing content in the output buffer; (iii) determining an instruction time-point at which a content-presentation device is instructed to switch from using content in the first input buffer to populate the output buffer, to using content in the second input buffer to populate the output buffer; (iv) determining a loss of synchronous lock time-point; (v) using the determined baseline input-to-output delay, the determined instruction time-point, and the determined loss of synchronous lock time-point to determine an input-buffer switching delay; and (vi) using the determined input-buffer switching delay to facilitate performing a content-modification operation.

TV MODE CHANGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH NUMBER OF VIEWERS PRESENT
This application is directed to changing a TV operating mode based on a potential relationship among viewers of a connected TV. In some implementations, a method includes: determining viewer identities and identifying the potential relationship among the viewers or a subset of the viewers; in accordance with a determination that the potential relationship allows the viewers to share private information, placing or maintaining the connected TV in or into a first operating mode that is unrelated to media content being displayed and allows personal information to be displayed on the connected TV; and in accordance with a determination that the potential relationship does not allow the viewers to share private information, placing or maintaining the connected TV in or into a second operating mode that is unrelated to the media content and does not allow personal information to be displayed on the connected TV.

REFLECTIVE VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A method includes capturing, using an Internet of Things (IoT) device, real-time video of a user performing an exercise associated with a first exercise class. Real-time video of the user is displayed, via a display, concurrently with video of an instructor, to provide a visual comparison of the user to the instructor. Image analysis of the real-time video of the user is performed to determine a performance of the user, and a representation thereof is displayed. Biometric data associated with the user is received at the IoT device from a wearable device at multiple points in time. Heart rates are identified based on the biometric data, and scores based on the heart rates are displayed via the display. A recommendation for a second exercise class different from the first exercise class is determined based on a profile of the user, and displayed via the display.
