Personalized Content Recommendations Based on Consumption Periodicity
Aspects described herein describe providing content recommendations such as, for example, recommendations for video content. A content recommendation may be based on when content was previously consumed.
METHODS, APPARATUS, AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE TO DETERMINE UNIQUE AUDIENCE SIZE VIA CLUSTERED DATA
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to determine unique audience size via clustered data. An example apparatus includes memory, machine readable instructions, and processor circuitry to at least one of execute or instantiate the machine readable instructions. The example processor circuitry is to form a first matrix identifying matching and non-matching instances of first values of respective demographics of an audience of media and second values of the respective demographics. Also, the processor circuitry is to normalize the first matrix to generate an account sharing adjustment matrix. Additionally, the processor circuitry is to apply the account sharing adjustment matrix to a vector of one or more counts of impressions of the media to correct for one or more members of the audience that share a user account registered with a database proprietor, the one or more counts of the impressions corresponding to the respective demographics.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE USER PRESENCE
Methods and apparatus to determine user presence are disclosed. A disclosed example monitoring device to determine of a presence of a user in a metering environment includes a mount to couple the monitoring device to a wearable device to be worn by the user, the wearable device to receive content from a content device, a sensor to detect motion of the user, and a transmitter to transmit motion data pertaining to the detected motion of the user for the determination of the presence of the user.
Source apparatus and control method therefor
A source apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a storage, a communicator, and a processor configured to, when the source apparatus being turned on while the source apparatus is turned off, identify an application related to a content included in the content reproduction history among a plurality of applications based on a content reproduction history stored in the storage, control the communicator to receive a content list provided by the application, and provide the content list by executing the application.
Media sharing and communication system
A media sharing and communication system, including a recording mechanism that records a desired portion of media upon activation by a first individual user, a first user transmitter/receiver that transmits the portion of media and a message generated by the first individual user regarding the portion of media to a second individual user and is capable of transmitting a message to a second individual user, a confirmation mechanism that confirms that the second individual user is authorized to view the portion of media and a notification mechanism that notifies the first individual user if the second individual user is not authorized to receive the portion of media, and a second user transmitter/receiver that receives the portion of media and voice message upon authorization of the second individual user, wherein the systems are capable of receiving and executing voice commands. A method of sharing portions of media.
Radio frequency sensing in a television environment
Techniques are provided for performing radio frequency (RF) sensing to determine the viewing status of a television user. This can be used to determine user behavior during the playback of content (e.g., whether a user is watching the content), which can be used as a data point for determining the user's level of interest in the content. Using the status of the television user, embodiments can provide additional or alternative functionality, such as powering down and/or powering up the television. Furthermore, RF sensing may be performed by existing television hardware, such a Wi-Fi transceiver, and may therefore provide RF sensing functionality to a television with little or no added cost.
Updating object subscriptions based on trigger events
Updating object subscriptions based on trigger events is described. An indication of a trigger event, associated with an object, can be received from a client of a user. The object can be associated with current object data that is stored in a storage area of a subscription management system. The storage area can maintain the current object data for at least the object and a subscription list for client(s), wherein the subscription list for each of the client(s) comprises object identifiers corresponding to subscribed objects for each of the client(s). Based at least partly on receiving the indication of the trigger event and determining that the trigger event is associated with a modification to a subscription, the subscription list can be updated to generate an updated subscription list for the client and current object data for the subscribed objects identified within the updated subscription list can be provided thereto.
LEARNING SYSTEM THAT AUTOMATICALLY CONVERTS ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN TIME INTO LEARNING TIME
Children are spending an enormous amount of time on computer screens without receiving any educational benefit for doing so. The present invention advantageously Automatically Converts children's entertainment screen time into learning screen time. This is referred to as Auto-Conversion of Entertainment Screen Time into Learning Time. A novel Continuous Engagement Method During Learning keeps the learner engaged in academic functioning (where engagement would otherwise be continuously declining). The present invention solves a critical problem for special learners (e.g., those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or memory impairment) who have a high affinity for screen time and cannot access traditional reading instruction. An Artificial Intelligence (AI) architecture is used to customize the type of instruction the learner receives based upon academic progress and to customize delivery of the instruction itself by closely monitoring the learner's emotional mood state and sustained attention.
Content receiver control based on intra-content metrics and viewing pattern detection
Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are provided to facilitate content receiver control for particularized output of content items based on intra-content metrics. Observation data, corresponding to indications of detected content receiver operations associated with a content receiver and mapped to a first set of content items, may be processed. A first set of intra-content metrics may be detected. An audiovisual pattern of intra-content metrics may be mapped based on correlating the set of observation data with the first set of intra-content metrics. A second set of content items may be processed to detect a second set of intra-content metrics. A subset of the second set of content items may be selected based on a visual category and/or an audio category of the audiovisual pattern of intra-content metrics. The subset may be specified to cause a content receiver to modify operations to record and/or output content corresponding to the subset.
Methods and apparatus to identify streaming media sources
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to identify media sources are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include an exclusivity determiner, a unique asset identifier, and a signature matcher. The exclusivity determiner is to determine whether media is exclusive to a provider. The unique asset identifier is to associate a first signature of the media with the provider if the media is exclusive to the provider. The signature matcher is to identify the provider based on a second signature, the second signature matching the first signature, the second signature extracted from media presented at a media presentation location.
