High-definition video data with different color space formats is obtained by a transmitting device via an input interface. processing, by the transmitting device, the high-definition video data into a data packet; transmitting, by the transmitting device, the data packet to a first communication module with the transmission rate not less than a first threshold. The first communication module is configured to transmit the data packet. By the adoption of the disclosure, the transmitting device can transmit the high-definition video data to a receiving device through the first communication module and based on a network cable or an optical fiber, so that lossless high-definition video transmission with ultra-low latency can be realized.

Multi-view network bridge device

A multi-view (MV) network bridge device includes an upstream interface, multiple downstream interfaces, and a controller. The controller receives, from the upstream interface, a specification of one or more viewing zones and a specification of one or more content streams. Also, the controller sends, on at least one of the downstream interfaces, at least a subset of each of the specifications received from the upstream interface. The upstream interface may be coupled to a computer that provides the specifications. Each of the downstream interfaces may be coupled to a different MV display panel. Method and apparatus for downloading content using channel bonding

As additional channels are added to a communication system for applications, such as standard density (SD) and eventually high density (HD) Video on Demand (VOD), additional capacity can be realized by reducing the time required to transmit content. A reduction of transmission time (or an increase of the transmission rate) can be achieved by bonding chancels of the communication system. The bonded channels typically provide a statistical multiplexing gain because the additional bandwidth is treated as a large single channel for the download. Bonding channels of the communication system can provide high speed downloading of content, such as video content, far in excess of the playback rate. Using bonded channels can relax the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of a data stream, such as a video stream, over an internet protocol (IP) network.

Remote media streaming

A redirection device for remote streaming media reroutes media content sent to the receiving device, typically located in the home of the subscriber, to the subscriber's mobile device such as a laptop or smartphone. Remote media streaming provides media recipients with capabilities for out-of-home (OOH) viewing for remotely rendering media content from a subscriber based receiving device to a personal electronic device. The remote streaming redirects media that has already been received by the subscription based receiving device, such that the redirection device forwards a rendering signal including the requested content to the rendering device based on the reported location. The redirected media stream therefore emanates from the redirection device as an independent transmission of content already received by the receiving device, and not as a separate transmission of media content from the content provider.

A method includes receiving, by a first application operating on an application server, a live session request from a second application operating on a user device separate from the application server to start a Framework for Live Uplink Streaming (FLUS) session; obtaining a list of a plurality of FLUS sinks; selecting a FLUS media sink operating on a sink device from among the plurality of FLUS sinks, wherein the sink device is separate from the application server and the user device; sending a workflow request to a Network-Based Media Processing (NBMP) source to start an NBMP workflow associated with the FLUS media sink; and sending a response to the second application including session information for establishing the FLUS session using the NBMP workflow and the FLUS media sink.
