Cinematographic method and methods for presentation and distribution of cinematographic works
The present disclosure describes specific technical approaches to implementing an arrangement in which two or more individual stories share a common feature or “knot” so as to combine to form a larger overall story, and where the individual stories are presented in different orders to different audiences, with the order of presentation affecting the audience perception of the larger overall story.
SECURE CONNECTED DIGITAL MEDIA PLATFORM
An embodiment of the invention provides a method including accessing a portal pursuant to instructions from a digital media device and identifying the digital media device to the portal to enable the portal to obtain a security code. Information having the security code is received; and, it is confirmed that the security code corresponds to a security key stored in the digital media device. The information is provided to a secure application environment in the digital media device if the security code corresponds to the security key. A copy of the security key is sent to a clearinghouse; and, the security code is received from the clearinghouse. The security code is sent to a provider of the information if the information satisfies a predetermined criteria.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NAVIGATION BETWEEN SEGMENTS OF REAL TIME, ADAPTIVE AND NON-SEQUENTIALLY ASSEMBLED VIDEO
The present disclosure provides a system and method for enabling navigation to one or more discrete segments of a real time dynamic and adaptive non-linear, non-sequentially assembled video. The method includes reception of a set of preference data associated with a user from a pre-defined selection criteria and a set of user authentication data. Accordingly, the method includes fetching of one or more tagged videos related to the set of preference data. The method includes fragmentation of the one or more tagged videos into the one or more tagged fragments. Further, the method includes clustering of one or more mapped fragments in a pre-defined order of preference. Furthermore, the method includes insertion of one or more interactive navigation options in one or more regions. Also, the method includes serving of the assembled video and inserted one or more interactive navigation options to the user.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING A CLIENT DEVICE WITH MANAGEMENT MESSAGES AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS METHOD
Method for providing at least one client device (10), from a server (20) configured to control access to audio/video content, with management messages (40), comprising:—determining a first set (41) of management messages pertaining to said client device (10),—transmitting said first set through a first communicatio n channel (51) in a repetitive manner,—receiving, from said client device, a notification (15) comprising at least a client device identifier (11),—determining a second set (42) of management messages, said second set comprising all or part of the first set,—determining a token (45) associated with the second set,—receiving, from the client device, a confirmation (15′) comprising data pertaining to the token,—verifying the data pertaining to the token and, in case of a positive verification, removing all or part of the second set from the transmission through the first communication channel.

METHOD FOR ACQUIRING ACCESS RIGHTS TO CONDITIONAL ACCESS CONTENT
A method of acquiring access rights to conditional access content. The method comprises receiving an access right on a first terminal through a first communication channel; storing said access right in said first terminal; sending a request for said conditional access content to a content provider, said request containing at least an identifier of an account to which said first terminal is associated, an identifier of the requested content and a piece of information concerning said access right; verifying, by said content provider, the authenticity of said access right using said piece of information concerning the access right; and when there has been a successful verification, marking said access right as used, and sending said conditional access content to at least one terminal linked to said account. The first terminal using near field communication technology (NFC) during at least one transfer of said access rights.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING MULTI-PART PERSISTENT CONTENT
A method for providing multi-part persistent content includes requesting a content item from a content server, and receiving a first portion of a multi-part content item. The first portion of the multi-part content item is displayed to a user of the client device via a first application executed by the client device. The method also includes providing an authentication token and an identification of a state of execution of the multi-part content item to the content server, and subsequently requesting a second content item, the request comprising the authentication token. The method also includes receiving a second portion of the multi-part content item, the second portion of the multi-part content item displayed to the user of the client device via a different, second application executed by the client device. The second portion is selected by the content server based on the state of execution of the multi-part content item.

Intelligent remote control
A content access device and system may allow portable remote devices to be paired with a variety of different devices, allowing remote control through a network connection. Content access devices may expose application program interfaces, allowing incoming network traffic to control operation of the device much in the same way that a local infrared remote would. Routing content commands through an external application server may also yield other benefits, such as allowing more customized selection of information and advertising content to users based on their viewing history.
