A terminal device includes a communicator capable of communicating with a plurality of image forming apparatuses capable of switching an operation mode between an energy-saving mode and a normal mode, and a controller, wherein the controller, from the plurality of image forming apparatuses via the communicator, receives information of each image forming apparatus including the operation mode, based on the information of each image forming apparatus, displays states of the operation modes of the image forming apparatuses, and sends a request signal, which switches the operation mode, via the communicator to the image forming apparatus selected from among the displayed image forming apparatuses.

An apparatus that causes a device to print an image includes at least one processor, and a display screen. A state of the apparatus is changed from a first state to a second state when an image is settled as a print target by a user, the first state being a state in which the at least one processor does not cause the device to print the image even if the apparatus is put close to the device, and the second state being a state in which the at least one processor can cause the device to print the image if the apparatus is put close to the device. After the apparatus in the second state performs a short distance wireless communication with the device, the device prints the image.

A team photographing method can be applied to terminals. The terminals can include a main terminal and at least one member terminal. The method includes: forming a team including the main terminal and the at least one member terminal based on a team photographing instruction initiated by the main terminal; based on a target object to be photographed determined by the main terminal, determining the target object to be photographed of the at least one member terminal; and controlling, by the main terminal, the main terminal and the at least one member terminal to photograph the target object to be photographed cooperatively.

The present invention is a mobile terminal capable of communicating with an image forming apparatus and the mobile terminal includes: an image capturing unit; an instruction unit configured to transmit discharge instructions to discharge a document to the image forming apparatus in which the document is set in a sheet feed unit; a state acquisition unit configured to acquire a state of the image forming apparatus by communicating with the image forming apparatus; and an image capturing instruction unit configured to detect timing at which the image forming apparatus discharges the document based on the state of the image forming apparatus acquired by the state acquisition unit and to give instructions to capture an image of the document to the image capturing unit at the timing.

An apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and can write data received from the communication device in a memory. The apparatus receives an operation request to the apparatus from the communication device, and stores the received operation request in the memory. Automatically configuring a portable electronic device for accessing a site on a public network is disclosed. The method and system include establishing a connection to at least one server for establishing and maintaining website accounts, and sending information uniquely identifying the electronic device to the at least one server. The at least one server sends user account information to the device, including an account ID and password, created based on the electronic device information. The user account information is stored on the device for use the next time the device accesses the website, whereby the user does not have to enter account information in order to establish the ISP connection or the website account before accessing the public network or, if the user account is not completely set up, to establish the user account a next time the device connects to the at least one server.
