An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: control an operation of the information processing apparatus by executing a control program; in response to reception of an instruction to enter a power-supply off state, determine whether a first power-supply off state is allowed to be entered, the first power-supply off state being a state in which, while a current operation state is held without execution of a restart of the control program, the operation is stopped; in response to a determination result indicating that the first power-supply off state fails to be entered, perform a redetermination after a lapse of a set time, the redetermination determining whether the first power-supply off state is allowed to be entered; and in response to the redetermination determining that the first power-supply off state is allowed to be entered, cause the first power-supply off state to be entered, and, in response to the redetermination determining that the first power-supply off state is not allowed to be entered, cause a second power-supply off state to be entered, the second power-supply off state being a state in which, after the control program is restarted and an initialization process is performed, the operation is stopped.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus comprises: an image processor to convert image data based on a conversion condition; an image forming unit to form an image based on the converted image data using a replaceable member; a memory to store the image data and the converted image data; a sensor to perform measurement on a test image; and a controller. If the replacement of the replaceable member is detected while forming images, the controller controls the image forming unit to form the test image and generates the conversion condition based on a result of the measurement on the test image. If the replacement of the replaceable member is detected while forming the images, the controller further controls the image processor to convert the image data stored in the memory based on the generated conversion condition.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONVEYANCE CONTROL METHOD
According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a conveying roller to convey sheets of different types along a conveyance path, a first sensor to detect a sheet being conveyed at a first position, a second sensor to detect the sheet being conveyed at a second position that is at a fixed distance downstream of the first position, a registration roller pair that is downstream of the second sensor, and a control unit. The control unit calculates a transit time for the sheet between the first position and the second position according detection results from the first and second sensors, and then sets a conveying distance for the sheet after the second position to be used for aligning the sheet against the registration roller pair based on the calculated transit time of the sheet.

A communication device may include a first type of interface and a second type of interface. The communication device may execute the communication of object data with a mobile device using the second type of interface after executing a specific process for causing the communication device to shift to a communication-enabled state, in a case where it is determined that the communication device is not currently in the communication-enabled state. The instructions when executed by the processor cause the processor to detect selection of a field associated with a setting of the configuration file, establish a connection with at least one networked MFD on the network, query the at least one networked MFD for a value used in the field associated with the setting of the configuration file that is selected, receive the value from the at least one networked MFD, and populate the field with the value.
