Example implementations relate to scan bar calibration. For example, a system for scan bar calibration may include instructions executable by a processing resource to implement a plurality of scanning settings at a scan bar index location of a scanning device. The system may further include instructions to execute a scan bar calibration of a calibration target at the scan bar index location, and generate a scan bar calibration table for the scan bar index location based on the executed scan bar calibration.

An image processing apparatus obtains image data by photographing a document which is put on a document plate. The apparatus includes an obtaining unit and a correction unit. The obtaining unit photographs the document plate and obtains calibration image data. The correction unit uses the calibration image data obtained by the obtaining unit, so as to correct the image data obtained by photographing the document which is put on the document plate.

An image reading device includes a shooting unit, a light source unit, a shooting controller, and a combining unit. The light source unit sequentially irradiates the bound document with light from first and second irradiation positions opposing each other with respect to a first straight line orthogonal to a direction of a binding portion of the document. The shooting controller controls the shooting unit to shoot a first region positioned at the second irradiation position side on the document when the light source unit irradiates the document with light from the first irradiation position, and controls the shooting unit to shoot a second region containing a region other than the first region on the document when the light source unit irradiates the document with light from the second irradiation position. The combining unit combines a shot image of the first region and a shot image of the second region.

A scanning system according to the present invention includes an image acquisition unit that acquires a plurality of pieces of image information generated by continuously scanning a medium to be scanned, a path calculation unit that calculates a path of scanning the medium based on the plurality of pieces of image information acquired by the image acquisition unit, a processing method determination unit that determines a processing method of the plurality of pieces of image information in accordance with a path calculated by the path calculation unit, and a processing unit that processes the plurality of pieces of image information by a processing method determined by the processing method determination unit and converts the plurality of pieces of image information into information in a form corresponding to the processing method.

A scanning system 9 according to the present invention includes an image acquisition unit 91 that acquires a plurality of pieces of image information generated by continuously scanning a medium to be scanned, a path calculation unit 92 that calculates a path of scanning the medium based on the plurality of pieces of image information acquired by the image acquisition unit 91, a processing method determination unit 93 that determines a processing method of the plurality of pieces of image information in accordance with a path calculated by the path calculation unit 92, and a processing unit 94 that processes the plurality of pieces of image information by a processing method determined by the processing method determination unit 93 and converts the plurality of pieces of image information into information in a form corresponding to the processing method.
