The support portion protrudes in the movement direction toward the opening/closing mechanism side with respect to the recording unit. The recording unit overlaps the opening/closing mechanism as seen from the movement direction. The support portion on the opening/closing mechanism side overlaps the opening/closing mechanism as seen from the transport direction when the carriage is at the second position.
