The processor executes the instructions stored in the memory to function as an executing unit configured to execute a transmission job for reading the document by the scanner and performing a transmission of image data generated by the scanner, and a display control unit configured to display a first screen for setting to print a transmission report of the transmission job that is executed by the executing unit, as a setting of the image processing apparatus, and display a second screen for setting to print a transmission report of the transmission job, as a setting of the transmission job.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a gradation adjustment mark adder and a hardware processor. The hardware processor monitors and adjusts a gradation characteristic based on a result of scanning a gradation adjustment mark. The hardware processor makes a determination as to whether to form the gradation adjustment mark overlapping an image area of an image based on image data. If it is determined to form the gradation adjustment mark overlapping the image area, the hardware processor controls the gradation adjustment mark adder to add gradation adjustment mark information to the image data in the image area.

An image formation system includes: an encoded image generation device including a first processor that generates print data from manuscript data, sets security information for controlling a print mode of the print data, and generates an encoded image from the print data and the security information; and an image formation device including a second processor that inputs the encoded image, decodes the print data and the security data from the input encoded image, determines whether an output of the decoded print data is available in accordance with the decoded security information, and outputs the decoded print data when it is determined that the output of the print data is available.

An image forming apparatus includes a wireless tag communication device to write data to, and read data from, a wireless tag attached to a sheet. An image forming device in the apparatus is configured to form an image on the sheet. A controller in the apparatus is configured to determine whether a writing of data to a wireless tag was successful based on a notification from the wireless tag communication device and generate investigation support information if the writing was not successful and control the image forming device to form an investigation support image corresponding to the investigation support information if the writing was not successful.

A transmission job for transmitting image data is executed. A report indicating a result of transmission of the image data is output. A first instruction regarding output of the report is accepted as a common setting for a plurality of transmission jobs. A second instruction regarding output of the report is accepted as an individual setting for a specific transmission job. Control is performed so as to output the report if the second instruction indicates that the report is to be output, even if the first instruction does not indicate that the report is to be output.
