GENERATING AUGMENTED REALITY IMAGES FOR DISPLAY ON A MOBILE DEVICE BASED ON GROUND TRUTH IMAGE RENDERING
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring a location of a client device associated with a transportation service and generating augmented reality images for display on the client device. The systems and methods use sensor data from the client device and a device localization process to monitor the location of the client device by comparing renderings of images captured by the client device to renderings of the vicinity of the pickup location. The systems and methods determine navigation instructions from the user's current location to the pickup location and select one or more augmented reality elements associated with the navigation instructions and/or landmarks along the route to the pickup location. The systems and methods instruct the client device to overlay the selected augmented reality elements on a video feed of the client device.
POSITIONING APPARATUS FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC AND VIDEO IMAGING AND RECORDING AND SYSTEM UTILIZING THE SAME
A method and device are provided for positioning a mounted camera. The device includes a holding element that secures the mounted camera to the device, a wireless linkage at which remote attitude commands representing attitude changes of a remote driver are received, a local controller that interprets the remote attitude commands and generates local attitude commands that move the camera to mimic an orientation of the remote driver, and an attitude sensing element that senses a local attitude of the device. The attitude sensing element includes a gyro, an accelerometer, or a magnetometer, and jitter present in the remote attitude commands is removed and not passed on to the local attitude commands.
Hysteretic multilevel touch control
According to some embodiments, a processor reads a force from a touch control. Hysteretic behavior is provided through at least three different actuation states and at least four different force threshold values, allowing user-friendly control of disparate actions through one touch interface with applications in volume control, photography, and user authentication. Other possibilities are shown and discussed.
Two-dimensional image collection for three-dimensional body composition modeling
Described are systems and method directed to generation of a dimensionally accurate three-dimensional (“3D”) body model of a body, such as a human body, based on two-dimensional (“2D”) images of that body. A user may use a 2D camera, such as a digital camera typically included in many of today's portable devices (e.g., cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) and obtain a series of 2D body images of their body from different directions with respect to the camera. The 2D body images may then be used to generate a plurality of predicted body parameters corresponding to the body represented in the 2D body images. Those predicted body parameters may then be further processed to generate a dimensionally accurate 3D model of the body of the user.
Image processing apparatus
An image processing apparatus includes: an image acquisition unit configured to acquire a photographed image; an editing unit configured to edit the photographed image by executing an action including an application and image processing that is a function of the application; an information acquisition unit configured to acquire photographing information on photographing of the photographed image; a first acquisition unit configured to acquire first history information indicating a history of actions for the photographed image; a second acquisition unit configured to acquire second history information based on at least a history of actions for an image different from the photographed image; and a control unit configured to determine a candidate for an action that is to be executed next on a basis of the first history information and the second history information and perform control to notify the determined candidate.
Electronic device capable of controlling image display effect, and method for displaying image
An electronic device includes a first camera, a second camera, a display, a memory, and a processor. The processor collects a first image obtained by the first camera with respect to an external object and a second image obtained by the second camera with respect to the external object, generates a third image with respect to the external object using a first area of the first image and a second area of the second image, which corresponds to the first area, identifies an input associated with the third image displayed through the display, and displays an image generated using at least one of the first image, the second image, or depth information in response to the input. The generating operation of the third image includes generating the depth information with respect to the third image.
Optical image stabilization with voice coil motor for moving image sensor
In some embodiments, a camera actuator includes an actuator base, an autofocus voice coil motor, and an optical image stabilization voice coil motor. In some embodiments, the autofocus voice coil motor includes a lens carrier mounting attachment moveably mounted to the actuator base, a plurality of shared magnets mounted to the base, and an autofocus coil fixedly mounted to the lens carrier mounting attachment for producing forces for moving a lens carrier in a direction of an optical axis of one or more lenses of the lens carrier. In some embodiments, the optical image stabilization voice coil motor includes an image sensor carrier moveably mounted to the actuator base, and optical image stabilization coils moveably mounted to the image sensor carrier within the magnetic fields of the shared magnets, for producing forces for moving the image sensor carrier in a plurality of directions orthogonal to the optical axis.
Image signal processing device, imaging device, flicker check method in imaging device, and server
This invention enables one to check flicker of a HFR image signal. A display image signal of a first frame rate for flicker check is obtained on the basis of an image signal of a second frame rate. For example, the display image signal of the first frame rate is generated from the image signal of the second frame rate by a frame thinning process. In this case, a frame to be thinned is determined from a relationship between the second frame rate and a light source frequency. For example, the number of frames to be a flicker period is obtained from the second frame rate and the light source frequency, and the frame to be thinned is determined so that continuous frames of the number of frames to be the flicker period are present.
Vehicular video camera display system
A vehicular video camera display system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a casing and an electro-optic reflective element, with a video display device disposed in the casing behind the electro-optic reflective element. With the interior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the interior cabin portion of the vehicle, a video display screen of the video display device is operable to display video images that are viewable through the electro-optic reflective element by a driver of the vehicle. A rearward-viewing video camera is disposed at a rear portion of the vehicle and views at least rearward of the vehicle. Control circuitry is disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly. Image data captured by the rearward-viewing video camera is communicated from the rearward-viewing video camera via a twisted pair wire to the control circuitry disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly.
