Application tune manifests and tune state recovery

In accordance with one or more aspects, a request to run an application is received. The application has an associated tune manifest that identifies one or more resources that the application may use. The tune manifest is compared to a device resource record, and a check is made, based at least in part on the comparing, whether the one or more resources identified in the tune manifest can be satisfied by the device. If the one or more resources identified in the tune manifest can be satisfied by the device, then the application is run; otherwise, a notification of a conflict between the application and the device is presented. Additionally, when the application exits, a device tune state that identifies a content source to which the device was tuned prior to running the application can be retrieved and the device restored to this device tune state.

Method and arrangement for acquiring image data

A method and arrangement for acquiring image data, wherein a pixel area of a specimen to be imaged is illuminated in a plurality of illumination events with illumination light of a respective selected intensity, which intensities are different from one another. Subsequently, detection light emanating from the respective pixel area is acquired for each of the intensities as image data of a subpixel and resulting image data of the pixel area are determined from the number of acquired image data of the subpixels. According to the invention, the illumination events are triggered successively. The image data of all subpixels of the pixel area are acquired before a further pixel area is illuminated.

Apparatus and method of scanning and/or printing an image

A scanning apparatus and a method thereof include a scanning unit scanning a document and outputting a scanned result, at least one external storage unit detachably attached to the apparatus, at least one internal storage unit, and a controller detecting an attachment state of the external storage unit and storing the scanned result in one of the external storage unit and the internal storage unit according to the attachment state of the external storage unit. The scanning unit of the scanning apparatus is combined with a user scanning unit and a user printing unit into a combination apparatus, and the scanned result is printed in a printing apparatus spaced-apart from the scanning apparatus by a distance, thereby removing cables between the scanning or printing apparatus and a personal computer. Regardless of an attachment state of the external storage unit, the document is scanned in the real time, and the scanning apparatus is commonly used with a plurality of personal computers which are not connected to the scanning apparatus.
