An apparatus for visualizing physical movements includes: a device for acquiring video image files; a data analysis system including processor and memory; a computer program operating in the processor to identify an area in the images where periodic motions associated with physical movement of an object may be detected and quantified, and compute a new image sequence in which the motions are visually amplified; and, a user interface that displays the motion-amplified video image of the mechanical component. An associated method for using the apparatus is also disclosed.
Load driving apparatus and grayscale voltage generating circuit
A load driving apparatus for driving a plurality of loads is provided. The load driving apparatus includes an output stage module, a load driving module, and an output stage selection module. The output stage module includes a plurality of output stages. Each of the output stages is coupled to a corresponding one of the loads. The load driving module is coupled to the output stage module and outputs a driving signal to drive one of the loads through the output stage module. The output stage selection module is coupled between the output stage module and the load driving module and selects one of the output stages in the output stage module, so that the load driving module drives the load which is coupled to the selected output stage through the selected output stage. Furthermore, a grayscale voltage generating circuit including the foregoing load driving apparatus is also provided.
Video signal noise elimination circuit and video signal noise elimination method
There is provided a video signal noise elimination method for performing noise correction by digital processing. The video signal noise elimination method includes using, as an output video signal, a mixed video signal obtained by mixing an input video signal and a low-pass video signal at a predetermined mixing ratio corresponding to a contour signal. The method further includes subtracting an off-set, which grows larger as the low-pass video signal becomes greater, from the contour signal. The method further includes controlling the predetermined mixing ratio so that a ratio of the low-pass video signal contained in the mixed video signal increases in a portion where the contour signal is small and so that the ratio of the low-pass video signal contained in the mixed video signal decreases in a portion where the contour signal is large.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOCALLY SHARPENING A VIDEO IMAGE USING A SPATIAL INDICATION OF BLURRING
Methods and an apparatus for locally sharpening a video using a spatial indication of blurring in a video signal are described. A method includes obtaining the spatial indication of blurring associated with the video signal, wherein the spatial indication of blurring is provided to locally adjust the sharpness of a video image of the video signal, the strength of sharpening being locally decreased for blurred area. Another method includes obtaining a video signal, obtaining a spatial indication of blurring, adjusting the sharpness of the video signal using the indication of the blurring, and providing the adjusted video signal for display on a display device. An apparatus includes a tuner that receives a video signal and a processor for obtaining (either from metadata or from video signal processing) a spatial indication of blurring associated with the video signal, a video processor that adjusts the locally sharpness of the video signal using the spatial indication of the blurring, and a display interface that provides the adjusted video signal for display.
