Content receiver control based on intra-content metrics and viewing pattern detection
Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are provided to facilitate content receiver control for particularized output of content items based on intra-content metrics. Observation data, corresponding to indications of detected content receiver operations associated with a content receiver and mapped to a first set of content items, may be processed. A first set of intra-content metrics may be detected. An audiovisual pattern of intra-content metrics may be mapped based on correlating the set of observation data with the first set of intra-content metrics. A second set of content items may be processed to detect a second set of intra-content metrics. A subset of the second set of content items may be selected based on a visual category and/or an audio category of the audiovisual pattern of intra-content metrics. The subset may be specified to cause a content receiver to modify operations to record and/or output content corresponding to the subset.
Convex integrated vehicle inspection and security system
A convex integrated vehicle inspection and security system embodying a convex parabolic mirror placed at a 45-degree angle and operatively associated with an image capture device capable of capturing a series of image strips at frame rates of up to 900/second. The single image capture device collects light and images using the convex mirror such a way that the composite image of the image strips can be presented as a panoramic image, wherein the panoramic image is displayed as a rectangle where the horizontal direction represents the width of the undercarriage of the vehicle.

PROGRAM GUIDE SYSTEM WITH VIDEO-ON-DEMAND BROWSING
An interactive television program guide system is provided in which a viewer may direct a television to simultaneously display a selected television program and a program guide display. A viewer may use the program guide display to browse available video-on-demand (VOD) while continuing to view a previously selected program in the background. The viewer may browse through video-on-demand programs on the program guide display using a variety of keys on a remote control unit. The viewer may direct the program guide to order a given video-on-demand program/and set a desired broadcast time for that program.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING BLACKOUT SUPPORT IN VIDEO MOSAIC ENVIRONMENTS
Systems and methods for providing blackout support in video mosaic environments are disclosed. In response to receiving a request for a video mosaic page, screen data, which may include blackout information, is received. The screen data identifies the video assets in the video mosaic page. A determination is made, based at least in part on the screen data, whether any video assets in the video mosaic page should be blacked out. Blacked out assets may be masked and their associated audio blocked. In addition, an overlay of options associated with the blacked out asset may be presented. The overlay may include options to substitute the blacked out asset with replacement content, search for similar content, or retrieve more information about the blackout.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CAPTURING DIGITAL IMAGES
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for capturing digital images. In use, at least one ambient exposure parameter is determined, and at least one flash exposure parameter based on the at least one ambient exposure parameter is determined. Next, via at least one camera module, an ambient image is captured according to the at least one ambient exposure parameter, and, via the at least one camera module, a flash image is captured according to the at least one flash exposure parameter. The captured ambient image and the captured flash image are stored. Lastly, the captured ambient image and the captured flash image are combined to generate a first merged image. Additional systems, methods, and computer program products are also presented.
TELEVISION SIGN ON FOR PERSONALIZATION IN A MULTI-USER ENVIRONMENT
Systems and methods according to the present invention provide sign on systems for devices, e.g., televisions, which balance ease of use with security and access control that is amenable to, e.g., household usage.
ADAPTABLE PROGRAMMING GUIDE FOR NETWORKED DEVICES
In one embodiment, a method of generating an electronic program guide for a user of an entertainment system is disclosed. The method includes retrieving, by a user computer in communication with the entertainment system, preference criteria corresponding to one or more user preferences describing payment requirements. The user computer receives a plurality of content listings, each content listing comprising a content title, an indication of a content source, and a payment requirement, and a search query including a content title. The user computer also identifies a subset of the plurality of content listings based on content title and the search query, and ranks each content listing in the subset based on a comparison of the preference criteria and the payment requirement of each content listing in the subset. A content entry in the electronic program guide is created comprising each content listing in the subset in ranked order.
DISPLAY APPARATUS, DISPLAY METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
Videos are to be displayed in parallel, without missing information or a decrease in efficiency in the usable display region.
The aspect ratio of the large screen of an information processing apparatus 100 is 16:9, which is compatible with a Hi-Vision video. In a case where the large screen is used in a portrait layout, if the large screen is divided into three small screens in the vertical direction, the aspect ratio of the small screens after the dividing is 9:16/3=16:9.48. With respect to the original video content at 16:9, the ratio in inches is 9/16=56.25% (the area ratio is (9/16).sup.2=31.64%). Accordingly, the usable display region can be efficiently used.
