An image display element of the projection display apparatus includes a first front face located in front of a reflective image display, a second front face parallel to the first front face and located behind and outside the first front face, and a first side face located between the first front face and the second front face. The first front face is inserted into the opening, and the flow path part is in contact with the first side face and the second front face via a heat conductive member. The flow path part includes a front face that is flush with or in front of the first front face of the image display element.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS
An image display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a plurality of display units. Each of the display units includes a screen on which an object image is formed; and a diffractive optical element that includes a first surface and a second surface that is situated opposite to the first surface, the diffractive optical element diffracting image light of the object image that enters the first surface, and causing the image light to exit the first surface, the diffractive optical element displaying a virtual image of the object image on a side of the second surface such that the virtual image is superimposed on a background. The diffractive optical elements of a plurality of the diffractive optical elements included in the display units are each arranged to at least partially surround a specified axis in a state in which the second surface faces the specified axis.
Efficient, dynamic, high contrast lensing with applications to imaging, illumination and projection
A new projector design combines one spatial light modulator that affects only the phase of the illumination, and one spatial light modulator that only affects its amplitude (intensity). The phase-only modulator curves the wavefront of light and acts as a pre-modulator for a conventional amplitude modulator. This approach works with both white light and laser illumination, generating a coarse image representation efficiently, thus enabling, within a single image frame, significantly elevated highlights as well as darker black levels while reducing the overall light source power requirements.

OPTICAL DEVICE FOR ENHANCING RESOLUTION OF AN IMAGE
The invention relates to an optical device (1) for enhancing the resolution of an image, comprising: a transparent plate member (10) configured for refracting a light beam (20) passing through the plate member (10), which light beam (20) projects an image comprised of rows and columns of pixels (40), a carrier (50) to which said transparent plate member (10) is rigidly mounted, wherein the carrier (50) is configured to be tilted between a first and a second position about a first axis (A), such that the plate member (10) is tilted between the first and the second position about the first axis (A), whereby said projected image (30) is shifted by a fraction (ΔP) of a pixel, particularly by a half of a pixel, along a first direction (x), and an actuator means (60) that is configured to tilt the carrier (50) and therewith the plate member (10) between the first and the second position about the first axis (A).
LASER PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LASER LIGHTSOURCE DRIVING UNIT USED FOR SAME
The laser projection display device includes: a photo-sensor for detecting the quantity of laser light generated by the laser light source; and an image processing unit for processing a drive signal on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light and supplying the processed drive signal to a driving unit for the laser light source. Right after the dimming, the image processing unit supplies the drive signal to the driving unit for the laser light source on the basis of the quantity of light of the detected laser light within a second execution cycle shorter than a first execution cycle which is the execution cycle used during the normal operation.
ROOM CAPTURE AND PROJECTION
Examples associated with room capture and projection are disclosed. One example includes an information management module that may maintain information regarding a virtual space and a first digital object within the virtual space. The first digital object may be associated with an artifact in a physical space. A room calibration module may map the virtual space to the physical space using sensors to detect attributes of the physical space. A capture module may record a modification to the artifact to be maintained by the information management module. A projection module may project a representation of a second digital object into the physical space. The representation may be projected based on a signal from the information management module.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM
There is provided an image processing device that processes a projection image presented to a plurality of persons at the same time. The image processing device specifies an overlapping area in which fields of view of two or more users overlap based on information on each user, classifies objects included in the overlapping area into a first object group and a second object group, generates a common image common to all users, made up of the first object group, generates individual images different for each user, made up of the second object group, and determines an output protocol for displaying the individual images.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing device according to an embodiment includes a control unit that performs: control of switching a display coordinate system of display content from a first display coordinate system to a second display coordinate system, the display content displayed on a surface of a real object by a display unit, depending on a state of an input operation of changing a position or an angle of the display content; and control of changing a display position or a display angle of the display content in accordance with the second display coordinate system and causing the display unit to display input assist display corresponding to axes of the second display coordinate system in a case where the display coordinate system is switched from the first display coordinate system to the second display coordinate system.
