Specifically, the software platform is operable to determine if an access key received, read, or captured by a mobile device matches an access key for an authorized account, object, device, or space for the mobile device, and to provide access to the mobile device if the access key received, read, or captured by the mobile device matches the authorized access key.

Methods and Systems for Detecting Persons in a Smart Home Environment

The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for detecting motion and persons. In one aspect, a method is performed at a smart home system that includes a video camera, a server system, and a client device. The video camera captures video and audio, and wirelessly communicates, via the server system, the captured data to the client device. The server system: (1) receives and stores the captured data from the video camera; (2) determines whether an event has occurred, including detected motion; (3) in accordance with a determination that the event has occurred, identifies video and audio corresponding to the event; and (4) classifies the event. The client device receives information indicative of the identified events, displays a user interface for reviewing the video and audio stored by the remote server system, and displays the at least one classification for the event.

An apparatus comprises a camera and one or more sensors. The camera generally has a low power deactivated mode. The one or more sensors are generally remotely located with respect to the camera. The one or more sensors may be configured to communicate a signal to the camera in response to a trigger condition. The camera is generally configured to activate in response to receiving the signal from the one or more sensors.

Timeline-Video Relationship Processing for Alert Events

A method at an electronic device with a display includes: displaying a user interface having a first region and a second region; receiving, and displaying in the first region of the user interface, a live video stream of a physical environment captured by a remote video camera; displaying, in the second region, a timeline corresponding to a timespan for a first portion of a duration during which the live video stream may have been recorded; in response to receiving a user interaction to move the timespan to a second portion of the duration, transitioning the displayed timeline to a new timeline that corresponds to the timespan for the second portion, and while transitioning, displaying, in the first region, a subset of video frames representing the first and/or second portion of the duration.

REMOTE CAMERA-ASSISTED ROBOT GUIDANCE
20230215017 · 2023-07-06 ·

Methods, systems, and apparatus for remote camera-assisted robot guidance are disclosed. A method includes obtaining images of objects approaching a door of a property; identifying candidate paths to the door based on the images of the objects approaching the door of the property; determining movement capabilities of the objects; storing the candidate paths to the door labeled by the movement capabilities of the objects that took the paths; determining capability information for a robot at the property that indicates movement capabilities of the robot; selecting, from the candidate paths, a path for the robot to take to the door based on the movement capabilities of the robot and the labels of the candidate paths; and providing guidance information to the robot that guides the robot to the door along the selected path.

VIDEO DEVICE WITH ELECTROMAGNETICALLY REFLECTIVE ELEMENTS

An apparatus, such as a doorbell, may include a doorbell housing. The doorbell housing may include a front surface facing exterior of a premises and a rear surface facing interior of the premises. A camera, doorbell activator, motion sensor, and/or light source may be at least partially positioned within the doorbell housing. An antenna may be positioned within the doorbell housing. The antenna may be configured to send a wireless signal comprising data to a data receiving device inside the premises. A reflective member may be positioned within the doorbell housing and configured to reflect at least a portion of the wireless signal that is sent toward the front surface of the doorbell housing.

In one embodiment, a method for an A/V recording and communication device is provided, the method comprising displaying, on a display of the computing device, a user interface for creating and/or customizing at least one intrusion zone, wherein the at least one intrusion zone comprises at least one motion zone within a field of view of the A/V recording and communication device coupled with at least one conditional setting of the at least one motion zone, determining whether an input has been received to establish a new conditional setting, or to change a previous conditional setting, determining whether an input has been received to save the new conditional setting or to save the changed conditional setting, and saving the new conditional setting or the changed conditional setting.

Touchless setup mode initiation for networked devices
11546951 · 2023-01-03 · ·

A method for causing an audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device to enter a setup mode involves detecting motion by one or more sensors of the A/V recording and communication device, while the A/V recording and communication device is disconnected from a local network. The method also involves entering, by the A/V recording and communication device, a setup mode to initiate a setup procedure after the detected motion. The setup procedure allows the A/V recording and communication device to wirelessly connect to a client device. The method further involves determining whether the client device connects to the A/V recording and communication device within a predetermined timeout period. Additionally, the method involves exiting the setup mode when the A/V recording and communication device does not connect to the client device within the predetermined timeout period.
