An automated log scaling system and associated methods are disclosed. In the system and methods, one or more imagers may capture depictions of respective first ends and/or second ends of a plurality of logs, and use the captured depictions to scale the plurality of logs. A diameter value for each end of the log may be determined using the captured depictions. Relative location values for each captured end may be determined and used to form a length of each log. Information captured in the images is used to identify the type of tree or species of tree for each log. At least one of the diameter values may be multiplied by the determined log length, and the resulting product value may be compared to values in a log scaling chart to determine a value for the log. The value of multiple logs may be used to form a load of logs for distribution.

Method and apparatus for imaging a sample using a microscope scanner

A microscope scanner is provided comprising a detector array for obtaining an image from a sample and a sample holder configured to move relative to the detector array. The sample holder can be configured to move to a plurality of target positions relative to the detector array in accordance with position control signals issued by a controller and the detector array is configured to capture images during an imaging scan based on the position control signals.

Introduced here is an ingestible device comprising a capsule, a camera, an antenna, and a propulsion component. The camera can capture images of various in vivo environments as the ingestible device traverses the gastrointestinal tract, and these images can be wirelessly transmitted to an electronic device located outside of the living body. The images may be transmitted to the electronic device for review by an operator responsible for controlling the ingestible device.

The techniques include obtaining a plurality of scene views; obtaining information specifying a model of the multi-view display apparatus; obtaining information specifying at least one blurring transformation; and generating actuation signals for controlling the multi-view display apparatus to concurrently display a plurality of display views corresponding to the plurality of scene views, the actuation signals comprising first actuation signals for controlling the first optical elements and second actuation signals for controlling the second optical elements, the generating comprising: generating the first actuation signals and the second actuation signals based, at least in part, on the plurality of scene views, the information specifying the model of the multi-view display apparatus, and the information specifying the at least one blurring transformation.
