METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FREQUENCY MULTIPLEXER
Aspects of methods and systems for frequency multiplexing suitable for Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) are provided. A system for multiplexing signals according to frequency comprises a DOCSIS port interface, an upstream interface, a downstream interface, and a circulator subsystem. The DOCSIS port interface comprises a plurality of channel filters. The upstream interface is operably coupled to a first channel filter of the plurality of channel filters, and the downstream interface is operably coupled to a second channel filter of the plurality of channel filters. The circulator subsystem is able to direct a first signal from the upstream interface to the DOCSIS port interface and is able to direct a second signal from the DOCSIS port interface to the downstream interface.
Communication system and method for an optical local area network
An optical local area network includes a passive optical distribution fabric interconnecting a plurality of nodes including a first node and a plurality of remaining nodes, a hub that includes the first node and a control module, and a client network adapter coupled to each of the remaining nodes for responding to the control module. The control module controls timing for each of the client network adapters to transmit signals over the passive optical distribution fabric and distribution of signals to each of the nodes.

Wireless DMX
A system and method are provided for wireless data broadcasting. The system provides a hub for broadcasting data wirelessly to a plurality of end devices, such as light fixtures, and a plurality of nodes for retrieving at least a portion of the data broadcasted from the hub. Each node is associated with at least one corresponding end device, and transmits data retrieved to the end device. A method is provided for broadcasting the data using the system. The method includes interrogating the nodes and determining what data is required by the corresponding end devices. The hub then packetizes, in RF packets, the required data and transmits data to each of several nodes.
