The first earphone (2) comprises a first earphone transceiver (6) of a first type and a second earphone transceiver (7) of a second type, and the second earphone (3) comprises a third earphone transceiver (7) of the first type. A first wireless link (5) can be established between the first earphone transceiver (6) and the third earphone transceiver (8), and a second wireless link (9) can be established between the second earphone transceiver (7) and an audio rendering transceiver (25) of the second type of an audio rendering device (4). The first earphone device (2) is adapted to send a link status signal (12) via the second wireless link (9) to the audio rendering device (4).

BROWNOUT RESPONSE

Brownout management for an audio amplification system. An audio amplification system includes audio volume control circuitry, audio sample interpolation circuitry, and brownout management circuitry. The brownout management circuitry includes brownout detection circuitry and brownout response circuitry. The brownout detection circuitry is configured to determine whether a voltage of a battery that powers the audio amplification system is below a brownout threshold, and to generate a brownout detection signal that indicates the voltage is below the brownout threshold. The brownout response circuitry is coupled to an audio output of the audio sample interpolation circuitry. The brownout response circuitry is configured to attenuate the audio samples output by the audio sample interpolation circuitry responsive to the brownout detection signal indicating that the voltage is below the brownout threshold.

AUDIO DEVICE INCLUDING JACK DETECTOR

An audio emitting pillow assembly includes a pillow that can be positioned around a user's neck. The pillow has a pair of prominences extending upwardly from the pillow and each of the prominences is positioned adjacent to a respective one of the user's ears when the pillow is positioned around the user's neck. A communication unit is integrated into the pillow and the communication unit receives streaming audio from the personal electronic device. A pair of speakers is each integrated into a respective one of the prominences and each of the speakers is aligned with a respective one of the user's ears when the pillow is positioned around the user' neck. Each of the speakers is in communication with the communication unit to audibly emit the streaming audio from the personal electronic device thereby facilitating the user to enjoy the streaming audio.

Contact detection via impedance analysis

An electronic device may include one or more terminals configured to provide a voltage signal to an actuator. The electronic device may detect a current associated with the voltage signal provided by the terminal to the actuator. The electronic device may determine an impedance across associated with the actuator based on the voltage signal and the electrical current. The electronic device may compare the impedance to a threshold impedance to determine whether there is sufficient skin contact with the actuator. The electronic device may provide audio via cartilage conduction if there is sufficient contact based on comparing the impedance to the threshold impedance, or may output a notification to the user to adjust placement of the electronic device to improve contact.

LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM AND CONTROL

A system for providing an audio interface at a mobile device is provided. The mobile device includes an interface programmed detect a loudspeaker system. The mobile device presents, via a user interface, a display screen to receive user input of sweet-spot commands. The mobile devices send sweet-spot parameters to the loudspeaker system in response to the sweet-spot commands.

Restoring a disabled display device speaker
11561759 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A display device has a processor and a memory connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions executed by the processor to make a first determination that an internal display device speaker is disabled. A second determination that an external sound system is unavailable is established. A prompt is provided in response to the first determination and the second determination. The prompt includes an option to enable the internal display device speaker.
