An electronic device may contain an input-output device such as a speaker, vibrator, or near field communications antenna. The input-output device may include an inductor. The inductor in the input-output device may be shared by wireless charging circuitry in the electronic device so that wireless charging signals can be converted into power to charge a battery in the electronic device. A separate inductor may also be provided within an input-output device to support wireless charging. A drive circuit may supply drive signals to the input-output device such as audio signals, vibrator control signals, or near field communications output signals for external near field communications equipment. An input amplifier that is coupled across the inductor in the input-output device may be used in receiving near field communications signals.

METHOD FOR CHARGING AN ENERGY STORE, MOBILE DEVICE AND CHARGING DEVICE
20220399733 · 2022-12-15 ·

A method charges an energy storage unit of a mobile device, in particular a hearing aid, which is alternately able to be charged in charging phases and able to be used in use phases. For the charging in an upcoming charging phase, a probable duration of the upcoming charging phase and a probable energy consumption of a subsequent use phase are determined based on past charging phases and past use phases. A required charge for the energy storage unit is calculated based on the probable energy consumption. A charging schema for charging the energy storage unit is set for the upcoming charging phase based on the required charge and the probable duration. A mobile device and a charging device are also specified.

METHOD FOR INITIALIZING A LONG-TERM-STORAGE MODE FOR A HEARING INSTRUMENT AND HEARING INSTRUMENT

A method for initializing a long-term-storage mode for a hearing instrument having a rechargeable battery cell includes predetermining an upper limiting value of a parameter for a state of charge of the rechargeable battery cell for long-term storage of the hearing instrument. An actual value, actually present, of the parameter for the state of charge is measured within an activation routine for long-term storage. The measured actual value of the parameter for the state of charge is compared with the upper limiting value of the parameter for the state of charge, and if the measured actual value of the parameter lies above the upper limiting value, the battery cell is discharged at least until the parameter has reached the predetermined upper limiting value, and the hearing instrument is placed into a long-term-storage mode. A hearing instrument is also provided.
