Methods and systems for controlling access to a protected resource
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a memory, a camera module, a communications module, and a processor that is configured to: receive, from the camera module, image data associated with a machine-readable optical label, the optical label encoding transaction details of a transfer of data to a recipient account, wherein the transaction details do not indicate an identity of the recipient account; receive a user input indicating authorization to initiate a transfer of data, via a protected resource, from an account associated with the user to the recipient account; and in response to receiving the user input, generate a request for initiating the transfer of data based on the transaction details, the request including an access token for use in authenticating the user on requests to access the protected resource.
ON-PREMISES AGENT FOR MOBILE CLOUD SERVICE
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for an agent device within a company's network firewall to initiate an HTTP connection with a cloud-based gateway and then upgrade the connection to a WebSockets protocol in order to have an interactive session. Over this interactive session, a mobile device, which connects to the cloud-based intermediary, can request data from servers inside the company's firewalls. Because the firewall is traversed using HTTP protocols (with WebSockets), it can be as safe as letting employees browse the web from inside the company's network.
ELECTRONIC TEST DEVICE DATA COMMUNICATION
Electronic test devices and methods include data transfer capabilities. In one implementation, an assay device includes wireless communication capabilities to send assay result decisions and/or values to a separate processing and display device such as a smartphone. In another implementation, light sources are modulated both for performing an assay and encoding and transmitting a result of an assay.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO SAVE POWER IN AN ACCESS POINT DEVICE
A home network controller for use with a wireless client device and for communicating with an external network, where the home network controller can receive, via the external network, an initiate signal instructed by the wireless client device. The home network controller includes a memory, a processor, an internal communication component and an external communication component. The home network controller can: associate the home network controller with the wireless client device to establish a wireless network, communicate with the wireless network client over the wireless network, enable the wireless client to communicate with the external network by way of the wireless network, operate the home network controller in a first mode, and operate the home network controller in a second mode, switch operation of the home network controller from the first mode to the second mode based on a disassociation of the wireless client device, and switch operation of the home network controller from the second mode to the first mode based on receipt of the initiate signal from the external network via the external communication component.

Smartphone-controlled active configuration of footwear, including with concavely rounded soles
A smartphone or other mobile computer device, general purpose or specialized, wherein the smartphone device is configured to actively control the configuration of one or more bladders, compartments, chambers or internal sipes and one or more sensors located in either one or both of a sole or a removable inner sole insert of the footwear of the user and/or located in an apparatus worn or carried by the user, glued unto the user, or implanted in the user. The one or more bladders, compartments, chambers, or sipes, and one or more sensors are configured for computer control. A sole and/or a removable inner sole insert for footwear, including one or more bladders, compartments, chambers, internal sipes and sensors in the sole and/or in a removable insert; or on an insole; all being configured for control by a smartphone or other mobile computer device, general purpose or specialized.

FEDERATION POLICY EXCHANGE
Federation policy exchange is provided in response to receiving a sharing query from an Access Point (AP) indicating that an associated wireless network supports federated identities with data sharing, determining whether the sharing query is within sharing preferences; and in response to determining that the sharing query is within the sharing preferences, transmitting, to the AP, a positive response for identity sharing that authorizes collection and sharing of identity data with at least one entity identified in a sharing policy for the associated wireless network. In various embodiments, federation policy exchange includes transmitting a support notification, via an AP, indicating support for federated identities with data sharing within a wireless network associated with the AP; and in response to receiving a first identify sharing preference from a User Equipment (UE) that indicates that negotiation is preferred, transmitting a sharing policy for the wireless network to the UE.
CONFIGURING WIRELESS NETWORK USING EPHEMERAL GATEWAY
The present invention relates to providing a mobile ephemeral gateway (12). The ephemeral gateway (12) is configured for configuring wireless network devices (40, 42, 44) of a wireless network (200) in its proximity, for acting as a gateway of the wireless network, and for making available for at least one other gateway (30) configuration information of the wireless network obtained during configuring the wireless network devices (40, 42, 44). The mobile ephemeral gateway (12) can be replaced or augmented by the at least one other gateway (30). The wireless network (200) can be controlled based on the configuration information made available by the ephemeral gateway (12). This may allow a more reliable and faster configuration of wireless networks with reduced data traffic during configuration as well as an improved operation of the wireless network as multiple GWs (12, 30) may perform functions in the wireless network sequentially or in parallel.
