Method and device for allowing simulator to analyze radio wave environment in wireless communication system
Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. The present invention relates to a method by which a simulator analyzes a radio wave environment in a wireless communication system, and the method of the present invention comprises the steps of: allowing a simulator to receive geographic information and position information by which a transmitter and a receiver can be positioned in the geographic information; generating, by the transmitter of the simulator arranged at a random position in accordance with the position information, radio waves for at least one direction of a sphere having a fixed radius; grouping into at least one group on the basis of a traveling route of the generated radio waves; setting each group as an operation unit (Warp/Wavefront) for a graphics processing unit (GPU); and analyzing a radio wave environment by using the GPU in which the operation unit is set.
CELLULAR NETWORK AREA OPTIMIZER
The described technology is generally directed towards a cellular network area optimizer. The area optimizer observes cellular network conditions at multiple radio access network (RAN) nodes within a target area. Based on observed conditions, the area optimizer applies a set of parameter values at the multiple RAN nodes. The set of parameter values enhances the overall throughput, while maintaining or improving connection retainability and accessibility, of the multiple RAN nodes under the observed conditions. The area optimizer learns different sets of parameter values to apply in response to different observed conditions by making parameter value adjustments and observing the effect of the adjustments on overall throughput of the RAN nodes in the target area.

RADIO WAVE INTENSITY DISTRIBUTION ASSESSMENT APPARATUS, RADIO WAVE QUALITY DISTRIBUTION ASSESSMENT APPARATUS, RADIO WAVE INTENSITY DISTRIBUTION ASSESSMENT METHOD AND RADIO WAVE QUALITY DISTRIBUTION ASSESSMENT METHOD
The present invention is aimed at making it possible to assess a radio wave intensity distribution widely covering areas and frequencies, and thereby making it possible to assess a distribution, widely covering areas and frequencies, of the quality of a communication function provided by a radio wave.
A radio wave intensity distribution assessment apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a radio wave station position detection unit that detects a position of a radio wave station on the basis of a geographic image having position information and of an image of the radio wave station; a radio wave station information integration unit that outputs radio wave station information based on the position of the radio wave station and radio wave station license information on the radio wave station; and a radio wave intensity distribution estimation unit that estimates and outputs a radio wave intensity distribution within a designated range on the basis of the radio wave station information and geographic information on the surroundings of the radio wave station.
Systems and methods for simulating wireless interference in a wired telecommunications network
One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods are provided. In an example, a method includes instantiating a first user equipment (UE) module on a first computing device and instantiating a second UE module on a second computing device connected to the first computing device by a wired network. A first base station (BS) module associated with the first UE module is instantiated on a third computing device coupled to the wired network and a second BS module associated with the second UE module is instantiated on a fourth computing device coupled to the wired network. A first resource allocation map is sent from the first BS module to the second BS module. An interference metric is generated based on the first resource allocation map. A data transmission between the second UE module and the second BS module is modulated based on the interference metric.

COMMUNICATION-PERFORMANCE CHARACTERIZATION VIA AUGMENTED REALITY
An electronic device that assesses communication performance is described. During operation, the electronic device receives information specifying a location in an environment. For example, the information may correspond to user-interface activity associated with a user interface. Notably, the user interface may include an augmented reality and the user-interface activity may include defining the location, such as by dropping a pin in the augmented reality. Then, the electronic device provides the information to an access point and/or a controller of the access point, where the location is within communication range of the access point. Next, the electronic device receives, from the access point and/or the controller, measurements of one or more communication performance metrics at or proximate to the location during a time interval. Moreover, the electronic device provides a graphical representation of the communication performance at or proximate to the location based at least in part on the measurements.
