UPGRADE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WIRELESS WIDE AREA NETWORKS
A device comprises a processor. The processor may be configured to: receive information about an existing cell site; and generate a distance histogram for the existing cell site based on the received information. Additionally, the processor may be configured to at least one of: calculate, using the generated distance histogram, a first value that indicates an amount of traffic to be offloaded from the existing cell site to a new cell site, or calculate, using the generated distance histogram, a second value that indicates an amount of traffic to be offloaded from operating bands of the existing cell site as a result of an upgrade at the existing cell site.
Load relocation in a communications network
This application discloses a load relocation method, apparatus, and a system. The method includes determining, by a communications network entity, a target access management entity for load relocation; and sending, to an access network entity, an identifier of an original access management entity and an identifier of the target access management entity or an address of the target access management entity with respect to the access network entity. The access network entity sends a message from UE to the target access management entity based on the identifier of the original access management entity carried in the message from the UE. In the foregoing solution, signaling overheads in a load relocation process are reduced and load relocation efficiency is improved.
Device and method for adaptive link adaptation
A device, system, and method perform an adaptive link adaptation. The method, at a user equipment (UE) connected to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network via an evolved Node B (eNB), includes determining a type of wireless traffic being utilized by the UE based upon at least one application executed on the UE, the wireless traffic being one of a data only, a voice only, or a combination thereof. The method includes determining a block error rate (BLER) target value to be used in a channel state feedback operation associated with a link adaptation operation for a connection between the UE and the eNB.
Methods and apparatus for control information triggering in wireless networks
The disclosure provides methods and apparatus relating to the transmission of control information in uplink access of wireless networks. One embodiment provides a method performed by a wireless device operable in a wireless communications network. The method comprises: responsive to failure of transmission in a first transmission time interval of a first transport block comprising first control information, transmitting in a second, subsequent transmission time interval a second transport block comprising second control information, wherein the second control information is an updated version of the first control information. Failure of transmission of the first transport block comprises the wireless device determining that a wireless channel over which the first transport block is to be transmitted is busy in the first transmission time interval.
Wireless communication system, control method, control apparatus, and control program
A wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless communication apparatuses that transmit a wireless frame to a terminal, and a control apparatus, and the wireless communication apparatus transmits information representing the number of retransmissions of the wireless frame to the control apparatus, and the control apparatus acquires the information representing the number of retransmissions of the wireless frame, selects the wireless communication apparatus in accordance with the number of retransmissions, and causes the selected wireless communication apparatus to start transmitting the wireless frame.
CONGESTION CONTROL BASED ON MOTION STATE
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a method of wireless communication, performed by a user equipment (UE), may include determining an inter-transmission time value for a series of transmissions to be performed by the UE; adjusting the inter-transmission time value based at least in part on a motion state associated with the UE; and performing the series of transmissions in accordance with the adjusted inter-transmission time value. Numerous other aspects are provided.
BIT RATE SCHEDULING FOR A USER EQUIPMENT
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for scheduling transmissions to and/or transmissions from user equipment. The user equipment communicates with a network via a first radio processing function (RPF) and a second RPF. The method includes determining a first aggregate bit rate for the UE. The method provides for sending to the first RPF first aggregate bit rate information (ABRI) for the UE. The first ABRI: 1) indicates that the first aggregate bit rate satisfies a bit threshold condition, 2) indicates that the first aggregate bit rate does not satisfy the condition, or 3) identifies the determined first aggregate bit rate for the UE.
LOAD RELOCATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
This application discloses a load relocation method, apparatus, and a system. The method includes determining, by a communications network entity, a target access management entity for load relocation; and sending, to an access network entity, an identifier of an original access management entity and an identifier of the target access management entity or an address of the target access management entity with respect to the access network entity. The access network entity sends a message from a user equipment (UE) to the target access management entity based on the identifier of the original access management entity carried in the message from the UE. In the foregoing solution, signaling overheads in a load relocation process are reduced and load relocation efficiency is improved.
APPLICATION-LEVEL NETWORK SLICING FOR HIGH QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system facilitates transmission of video data on RF bands; the video data includes startup video data to be presented during a startup period and post-startup video data to be presented subsequently. The method includes selecting an RF band according to whether the segment has startup video data; estimating a value, based at least in part on characteristics of the RF band, corresponding to a quality of experience (QoE) for the segment; determining whether the value satisfies a target criterion; and transmitting the segment using the RF band, in accordance with the value satisfying the target criterion. Other embodiments are disclosed.
WI-FI hotspot recommendation method, terminal, and graphical user interface
A WI-FI hotspot recommendation method includes scanning a WI-FI hotspot, determining an Internet-accessible hotspot in WI-FI hotspots that are obtained by means of scanning, determining network quality obtained when the terminal accesses a network by using the Internet-accessible hotspot, and displaying an identifier of the Internet-accessible hotspot and an identifier that indicates the network quality obtained when the terminal accesses the network by using the Internet-accessible hotspot.
