It is thus possible to provide an improved technique for allowing the M2M terminal that is supporting a special coverage enhancement processing for M2M terminals to camp on an appropriate cell.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING STANDALONE LOCAL GATEWAY SERVICE FOR DUAL CONNECTIVITY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and apparatus for transmitting a local home network identity (LHN ID) in a wireless communication system is provided. A first evolved NodeB (eNB) transmits an X2 Setup Request message including a LHN ID of the first eNB to a second eNB, and receives an X2 Setup Response message including a LHN ID of the second eNB from the second eNB. The first eNB may determine whether or not to trigger a secondary eNB (SeNB) addition procedure according to the LHN ID of the second eNB. When it is determined that the LHN ID of the second eNB is the same as the LHN ID of the first eNB, the first eNB may trigger the SeNB addition procedure.

PROCESSING HANDOVERS FOR MOBILE TERMINALS CAPABLE OF INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION

We disclose various embodiments of methods and apparatus for processing handovers of mobile terminals between base stations of a wireless communication system. An example handover algorithm used for this purpose enables the handover threshold to be increased for some mobile terminals, on a terminal-by-terminal basis, thereby individually expanding the range of the serving cell for each of such terminals. In an example embodiment, the handover-threshold determination is carried out based on physical-resource-block usage of the target cell. The extent of the cell-range expansion depends on whether or not the reference signals of the serving and target cells interfere with each other. Embodiments of the disclosed handover algorithm can advantageously reduce the number of failed handovers by allowing some communication sessions to run to completion before a handover is triggered.

A mobile station in a wireless communication network. The mobile station includes a radio communication that transmits an access request message to a base station via a first communication resource, and receives a timing adjustment in response to the access request message from the base station. The mobile station also includes an adjustment value storage unit that stores the timing adjustment, and a control unit that adjusts access timing corresponding to a second communication resource based on the timing adjustment value stored in the adjustment value storage unit. The radio communication unit then communicates with the base station via the first communication resource and the second communication resource.

The present disclosure describes a communication method, including: sending, by a user equipment (UE), a request message to a micro network node, so that the micro network node sends an indication message to a macro network node; receiving an uplink resource sent according to the indication message by the macro network node; and sending uplink signaling or uplink data to the macro network node according to the uplink resource. The present disclosure further describes a corresponding device and system. The micro network node participates in accessing the user equipment (UE) to a network so that a UE can rapidly access the network and reduce access delay.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACQUIRING INFORMATION ON ACCESS POINT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An AP information management entity of a cellular system transmits a request for information on an AP to an AP server, and receives a response, which includes a result code of the request, from the AP server. The AP information management entity of the cellular system may be one of an eNodeB (eNB), mobility management entity (MME), or a new entity of the cellular system.

A wireless communication system transmits information to a communication terminal moving through a spot wireless area. In an integrated base station, an external information communication section controls communication with a server. A contents memory section stores contents received from the server. A wireless LAN communication section communicates with the communication terminal. A control section establishes connection with the communication terminal using a first connection not requiring an authentication procedure for connection with the communication terminal or using a second connection requiring the authentication procedure for connection with the communication terminal. An access control (restriction) section permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory section and prohibits access to the server when a type of connection with the communication terminal is the first connection and permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory section and to the server in the case of the second connection.
