Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for a nested conditional mobility procedure. In some cases, a method for wireless communications by a UE generally includes receiving configuration information configuring the UE for conditional handover (CHO) from a source master node (S-MN) to a target master node (T-MN) and for conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) addition or change (CPAC) and performing a nested procedure based on an evaluation of conditions for both CHO and CPAAC in accordance with the configuration information.
Methods and Apparatuses for Resource Management in a Multi-Carrier Telecommunications System
The embodiments of the present invention relate to apparatuses and methods for resource management in a multi-carrier system wherein a plurality of component carriers (CCs) is defined per cell. According to a method in an apparatus corresponding to a radio base station, a message is assembled comprising information on the structure of the cell served by the radio base station; the information including one or more CCs used in the cell that is/are available for a user equipment for performing initial access in the cell. The method also comprises, transmitting the assembled message to the user equipment and indicating to the user equipment to what resources to use for random access in the cell. The exemplary embodiments of the present invention also relates to a method in the user equipment, to a radio base station and to a user equipment.
RADIO NETWORK NODE, USER EQUIPMENT (UE) AND METHODS PERFORMED THEREIN
Embodiments herein relate to for example a method performed by a radio network node for handling a communication of a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication network. The radio network node transmits a handover command for handing over the UE, from a source cell to a target cell, wherein a security parameter for encrypting data communicated between the radio network node and the UE is retained during the handover. Furthermore, the radio network node maintains a sequence number status for reception and/or transmission of a signalling radio bearer of the UE during the handover from the source cell to the target cell, and/or at a fallback from the target cell to the source cell, when the UE triggers the fallback to the source cell.

Provided are a cell switching method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The method includes the following. A first interface message is sent to a second network element, where the first interface message carries UE related information; a user context modification instruction triggered by the second network element is received, where the user context modification instruction is determined and triggered according to the first interface message, and the user context modification instruction is configured for triggering the handover of a target UE from a source cell to a target cell.
CONFIGURATION HANDLING AT A USER DEVICE
A radio access network (RAN) for configuring a user equipment (UE) transmits, to the UE, (i) a conditional configuration related to a base station operating in the RAN, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the conditional configuration during a conditional procedure (1802), determines subsequently to the transmitting, that the UE is to perform an immediate procedure related to the RAN (1804), and provides, to the UE, an indication that the UE is to release the conditional configuration (1806).
Identification and Handling of Conditional Procedure
A user equipment (UE) receives, from a radio access network (RAN), conditional configuration information including (i) a configuration related to a base station or a cell, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the configuration (2102). The UE determines a procedure to which the conditional information pertains (2104). The UE applies, during the determined procedure, the configuration if the condition is satisfied (2106).
SUPPORTING SWITCHING BETWEEN BASE STATIONS THAT PROVIDE MULTICAST AND BROADCAST SERVICE
A multicast and broadcast service (MBS) switching method includes acquiring, by a base station serving a user equipment, capability information of other base stations for an MBS, the capability information indicating whether the MBS is supported by each of the other base stations. The method further includes determining, according to the capability information of the other base stations for the MBS, whether a first base station of the other base stations supports the MBS in response to a determination to switch the MBS of the user equipment to the first base station. The method further includes initiating an MBS switching request to the first base station in response to a determination that the first base station supports the MBS, the MBS switching request indicating to switch the MBS of the user equipment from the base station serving the user equipment to the first base station.
Managing a conditional configuration upon addition or release of a bearer
To manage configuration, a UE receives, by processing hardware and from a radio access network (RAN), conditional configuration information including (i) a conditional configuration related to a base station operating in the RAN, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the configuration (702). The UE receives, by the processing hardware and from the RAN, a message including an indication that the UE is to add, modify, or release a radio bearer (RB) (704), and determines, by the processing hardware, to ignore the conditional configuration in response to receiving the message (706).
Cell Selection Method and Apparatus
Embodiments of this application provide a cell selection method and an apparatus, and relate to the communications field. A terminal may determine a first measurement frequency and a 5G anchor cell at the first measurement frequency based on prior historical information. The terminal may shorten evaluation duration corresponding to a 5G anchor cell that meets a preferred condition at a first measurement frequency, so as to improve a probability that the terminal camps on the 5G anchor cell.
