This application provides a mobility measurement method and an apparatus, to help resolve a problem of validity of mobility measurement of a terminal device in a conventional technology. The method includes: A network device sends a message to a terminal device, where the message includes a plurality of sets of measurement configuration information; and the terminal device uses one of a plurality of sets of measurement configurations from the network device for mobility measurement based on a current location and/or a current time. According to the method, validity of mobility measurement is improved, and this helps the terminal device obtain a good service.

An apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor to receive a first stream of real-time aeronautical data from a first aeronautical data provider, receive at least one second stream of real-time aeronautical data from at least one second aeronautical data provider simultaneously with the first stream, provide data from the first stream and the at least one second stream to a decision model for predicting which data has a higher accuracy, and switch using data from the first stream to data from one of the at least one second streams in response to the one of the at least one second streams having a higher predicted accuracy than the first stream.

A method includes a first module of a terminal device sends a first request message to a second module, obtains first information from the second module, and assists cell handover based on a first cell handover list. The first request message is used to request the first cell handover list corresponding to a first TAC, which is a TAC of a current cell of the terminal device, and the first information indicates the first cell handover list. The terminal device may store a cell list corresponding to each line in advance. When the terminal device moves on a line, the terminal device may determine, based on the first TAC, the cell list corresponding to the line to perform cell handover.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANAGING CONDITIONAL HANDOVER OF A USER EQUIPMENT
A computer implemented method (200) is disclosed for managing Conditional Handover of a UE in a cellular communication network. The method comprises receiving a report of radio resource measurements performed by a UE (210) and assigning a current radio location of the UE to a radio zone of the communication network on the basis of the contents of the report (220). A radio zone comprises a region of a multidimensional radio space over which the communication network extends that is defined by a particular combination of radio field characteristics (220a). Each cell of the communication network comprises a plurality of radio zones. The method further comprises updating, in a database, a trajectory of the UE through the radio space of the communication network with the radio zone to which the current radio location of the UE is assigned (230), and using the updated trajectory to calculate a probability of Handover of the UE to neighbor cells of the current serving cell of the UE (240). The method further comprises initiating a Conditional Handover procedure for Handover of the UE to neighbor cells for which the probability of Handover is above a first Handover threshold value (250).

There is provided a communication system including: a terminal that communicates with a base station wirelessly; and a control device, in which the terminal includes a transmission unit that transmits information on a location of the terminal, and the control device includes an information collection unit that acquires the information on the location of the terminal, an entry prediction calculation unit that predicts a future location of the terminal based on the information on the location of the terminal and that determines whether the terminal is to enter a dead zone by comparing the future position with the dead zone, and a connection destination control unit that executes control for switching a connection destination of the terminal when the entry prediction calculation unit determines that the terminal is to enter the dead zone.

According to some embodiments, a method performed by a network node comprises: mapping a first cell identifier associated with the network node to a second cell identifier associated with a first geographical coverage location of a beam transmitted by the non-geostationary satellite; broadcasting the first cell identifier to one or more wireless devices in the first geographical coverage location; and transmitting the second cell identifier to a core network node as part of location information for one of the one or more wireless devices in the first geographical coverage location.

According to an aspect, there is provided a method of operating a network node in a communication network. The method comprises: receiving, from an analysis node in the communication network, a notification to reduce battery consumption of a wireless device that is connected to the communication network; and adjusting one or more aspects of the connection of the wireless device to the communication network according to the received notification.
