EARLY MESSAGE FOR CONDITIONAL HANDOVER
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may generate, based at least in part on a handover condition being satisfied, a message that indicates that the UE is preparing to leave a source cell for a target cell. The UE may transmit the message before a conditional handover (CHO) is initiated or during a wait timer that is started after the CHO is initiated. Numerous other aspects are described.
CONDITION-BASED SECONDARY NODE OR PRIMARY SECONDARY CELL CHANGE METHOD AND DEVICE
The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a condition-based secondary node or primary secondary cell change method. The method includes: receiving configuration information for changing a secondary node/primary secondary cell; and changing the secondary node/primary secondary cell based on the configuration information for changing the secondary node/primary secondary cell. The configuration information for changing the secondary node/primary secondary cell includes at least one of: addition condition configuration information for a candidate secondary node/primary secondary cell; configuration information for the candidate secondary node/primary secondary cell; and release condition configuration information for a source secondary node/primary secondary cell. The embodiments of the present disclosure can implement condition-based addition of a secondary node or change of a primary secondary cell.
NEW RADIO (NR) CELL ADDITION IN NON-STANDALONE MODE
Aspects relate to techniques for expediting New Radio (NR) cell addition in non-standalone (NSA) mode. The UE may receive a conditional handover (CHO) command from a first anchor cell operating a first frequency range (e.g., a Long Term Evolution (LTE) frequency range) that enables the UE to subsequently select a different anchor cell to which to perform a handover. The UE may then receive a deconfiguration from the first anchor cell of a measurement object for secondary cell addition in a second frequency range (e.g., a NR frequency range). Based on the CHO command and the deconfiguration of the measurement object, the UE may then perform a handover to a second anchor cell in the first frequency range to facilitate addition of at least one secondary cell in the second frequency range.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONDITIONAL MOBILITY ON SECONDARY NODE INITIATED BY MASTER NODE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
A method performed by a master node supporting a dual connectivity operation in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining to change a source PScell to target PScell, transmitting, to a terminal, a configuration message for a conditional PScell change, the configuration message including information on a measurement to be performed by the terminal, receiving, from the terminal, a configuration complete message in case that a condition for the conditional PScell change is satisfied, and transmitting, to a target SN of the target PScell, a SN reconfiguration complete message, wherein the information on the measurement includes first information on a measurement object and second information on a report configuration associated with the measurement, and wherein the second information on the report configuration includes information on an event associated with the target PScell.
MOBILITY ENHANCEMENTS FOR CONDITIONAL HANDOVERS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a source base station, configuration information for a conditional handover indicating an execution condition and one or more secondary cell group (SCG) configurations associated with one or more candidate base stations. The UE may transmit, to the source base station, a measurement report indicating one or more measurements associated with at least one of the source base station or the one or more candidate base stations. The UE may perform the conditional handover with a candidate base station, of the one or more candidate base stations, using an updated SCG configuration associated with the candidate base station, wherein the updated SCG configuration is based on an SCG configuration, of the one or more SCG configurations, and the one or more measurements. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Communication Method and Apparatus
This application discloses a communication method, including: a terminal obtains a current flight parameter, and determines a target conditional handover configuration from a candidate conditional handover configuration group based on the current flight parameter, where the target conditional handover configuration is used to determine a second cell that the terminal expects to access. In this process, because the candidate conditional handover configuration group generated by the access network device to which a first cell belongs corresponds to the flight-related parameter, the terminal obtains the target conditional handover configuration in the candidate conditional handover configuration group based on a matching result between the current flight parameter and the flight-related parameter. In this way, accuracy of obtaining the target conditional handover configuration is improved, and efficiency of handover to the second cell is improved.
Keeping/Changing MR-DC Upon Conditional Handover (CHO)
Techniques for conditional reconfiguration in a multi-connectivity scenario. In an example method, a first network node, configured to operate as a master node, MN, for multi-connectivity operation of a wireless device along with a second network node operating as a secondary node, SN, for the wireless device, determines (810) to configure the wireless device with a conditional reconfiguration and transmits (820) a handover request message to a third network node, the handover request message including an indication that the handover request message is for conditional handover. The first network node receives (830) an acknowledgment of the handover request message and, in response, delays (840) transmission of a release message to the second network node until the first network node receives an indication that the conditional handover is executed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR L1 CHANNEL STATE BASED CONDITIONAL HANDOVER
Methods and apparatuses for an L1 channel state/quality based CHO in a wireless communication system. A method of a UE comprises: receiving configuration information for a CHO; generating a CSI report indicating that a channel state associated with a candidate cell is better than a channel state associated with a serving cell; transmitting the CSI report; determining, based on the CSI report transmitted, whether a value of a counter reaches a number of reporting times N for the CHO; and executing the CHO based on a determination that the value of the counter reaches the number of reporting times N for the CHO.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING MOBILITY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to method and apparatus for performing mobility in wireless communication system. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a wireless device in a wireless communication system comprises: receiving a first message comprising handover commands of candidate target cells, each of the handover commands being related to an index; receiving a second message comprising the index related to a first handover command of a candidate target cell among the handover commands, and a second handover command of the candidate target cell; updating the first handover command based on the second handover command; identifying that the candidate target cell satisfies a handover condition for the candidate target cell based on a measurement result for the candidate target cell; and performing a handover to the candidate target cell satisfying the handover condition based on the updated first handover command.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIDELINK OPERATION
A method for sidelink operation performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a first cell, a conditional handover command that includes an indication of a second cell and one or more triggering conditions for handover to the second cell, performing handover to the second cell after determining that at least one of the triggering conditions is fulfilled, and applying a sidelink resource configuration that is stored in the UE after performing handover to the second cell based on the conditional handover command.
