PASSIVE ACCESS CALIBRATION
20230050240 · 2023-02-16 ·

Configuration of signal strength calibration offset is provided. A user interface is displayed, to a screen of a mobile device, for configuration of a signal strength offset of a wireless transceiver to a vehicle, the signal strength offset being an offset with respect to a default calibration of signal strength measurements between the wireless transceiver and the vehicle, the signal strength calibration being for use in calibrating a location of the mobile device for a passive zone with respect to the vehicle. An update to the signal strength calibration is received from the user interface. The signal strength calibration as updated is sent to the vehicle for use in locating the mobile device for the passive zone.

AUTOMATIC PREDICTION OF VISITATIONS TO SPECIFIED POINTS OF INTEREST
20230043023 · 2023-02-09 ·

Techniques are described herein for predicting popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics that are used in the selection of a point of interest (POI) for placement of an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS). The techniques involve training a machine learning model based on information obtained about POIs at which EVCSs are already installed. The information used to train the machine learning model includes, for each existing installation location: (a) visitation data that describes visitation features, and (b) popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics that have been generated for the location. When the machine learning model has been trained, the trained machine learning model predicts popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics for a POI location at which no EVCS has been installed based on the visitation data of that POI.

Systems and methods for deploying dynamic geofences based on content consumption levels in a geographic location

Systems and methods are provided for determining in real-time geographic areas having a threshold level of content consumption and deploying dynamic geo-fences to contain these geographic areas. These dynamic geo-fences provide a means for timing message notifications in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a dynamic geo-fence created based on real-time content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.

System and method for selecting alternate global positioning system coordinates
11553308 · 2023-01-10 · ·

A system and method for selecting alternate global positioning system coordinates is provided. The system generally comprises a geolocation device, processor operably connected to the geolocation device, and non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon. The instructions instruct the system to select alternate GPS coordinates based off geospatial data received by the processor as well as parameters of the system that may limit the alternate GPS coordinates in which the system may select. The parameters may be selected within a user interface of the system.

PASSIVE DYNAMIC GEOFENCING FOR MOBILE DEVICES
20180007505 · 2018-01-04 ·

Systems and methods for passive dynamic geofencing on a mobile device are discussed. For example, a method for passive dynamic geofencing can include operations such as monitoring a first parent geofence and a first plurality of child geofences; detecting crossing a boundary of the first parent geofence into a second parent geofence; loading the second parent geofence and a second plurality of child geofences encompassed by the second parent geofence; and monitoring the second parent geofence and the second plurality of child geofences.

GEOFENCING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A geofencing system (310) that does not rely on a GNSS or other like system. The geofencing system comprises a group of two or more fence-pole devices, FPDs, that define a geofenced area (399). Each FPD in the group is capable of making its own determination as to whether or not a certain communication device (377, 378) appears to be within the geofenced area. In one embodiment, if all of the FPDs have determined that the communication device appears to be within the geofenced area, then it is decided that the communication device is within the geofenced area. In another embodiment, if the group of FPDs consists of N FPDs and at least N−1 of the FPDs have determined that the communication device appears to be within the geofenced area, then it is decided that the communication device is within the geofenced area.

Secure vehicle communications architecture for improved blind spot and driving distance detection

Disclosed are techniques for improving an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) using a secure channel area. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising establishing a secure channel area extending from at least one side of a first vehicle; detecting a presence of a second vehicle in the secure channel area; establishing a secure connection with the second vehicle upon detecting the presence; exchanging messages between the first vehicle and the second vehicle, the messages including a position and speed of a sending vehicle; taking control of a position and speed of the first vehicle based on the contents of the messages; and releasing control of the position and speed of the first vehicle upon detecting that the secure connection was released.

V2X COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
20230027290 · 2023-01-26 ·

The technology of this application relates to a V2X communication method and an apparatus. The method includes a first network element obtains UE density information of a first area in which target UE is located, and the first network element sends first information to the target UE based on the UE density information, where the first information is used by the target UE to adjust transmit power of a PC5 interface. The method provided in this application can improve V2X communication quality, and further reduce power consumption of UE. In addition, it can also be avoided that primary responsibility of an accident is transferred to a server, and information received by the UE is determined using global information, so that an error can be reduced.

Track information system

Methods for providing track condition information include receiving, at a first mobile track control station, a track condition notification. Such methods further include transmitting, from the first mobile track control station to a second mobile track control station in a network of mobile track control stations, the track condition notification. Such methods further include receiving, at the first mobile track control station from a third mobile track control station, affected track sector data regarding an affected track sector. Such methods further include transmitting, from the first mobile track control station to a first mobile track information station within a first vehicle, the affected track sector data, wherein the affected track sector data is configured to be used by the first mobile track information station to determine whether the first vehicle is within the affected track sector.
