TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IN RESTRICTED TARGET WAKE TIME (TWT) SERVICE PERIODS

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for managing data traffic in restricted target wake time (TWT) service periods (SPs). In some aspects, an access point (AP) may transmit a packet, at the beginning of a restricted TWT SP, that signals all non-member wireless stations (STAs) to defer access to the wireless medium for at least a threshold duration. Upon receiving the packet, any non-member STAs that are associated with the AP may set their network allocation vectors (NAVs) according to the duration indicated by a duration field of the received packet. In some implementations, low-latency STAs that are members of the TWT SP may not set their NAVs according to the duration field of the received packet. Instead, the low-latency STAs may access the wireless medium before the NAVs associated with the non-member STAs expire.

RESTRICTED TARGET WAKE TIME SERVICE PERIOD TERMINATION

A wireless communication protocol using CSMA/CA, EDCA and R-TWT to prioritize RTA traffic transmissions. During an R-TWT SP, the RTA traffic is prioritized for transmission and mechanisms are provided for assuring proper indications and termination of the R-TWT SP. During this process, member STAs communicate with the R-TWT scheduling AP when they have no more frames to send. The R-TWT scheduling AP can also terminate the R-TWT SP before its scheduled end time, allowing non-member STAs to immediately contend for the channel. In addition, the R-TWT scheduling AP can exchange frames with STAs, that have an R-TWT feature but are not R-TWT member STAs, after frame exchanges with the R-TWT member STAs during the R-TWT SP have been completed.

METHOD FOR MONITORING PHYSICAL DOWNLINK CONTROL CHANNEL OF TERMINAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DEVICE USING SAME METHOD

Provided are a method and device for monitoring a downlink control channel of a terminal in a wireless communication system. The terminal receives configuration information which informs of the position of an SSB or configuration information which informs of the position of an LTE CRS, and receives configuration information which informs of a monitoring occasion for detecting a wake up signal (WUS). If first PDCCH monitoring for detecting the wake up signal is not required since a resource of the monitoring occasion overlaps with a resource of the SSB and/or a resource of the LTE CRS, the terminal performs second PDCCH monitoring in a next discontinuous reception (DRX)-on duration.

In response to a first communication device determining that a specific wireless local area network (WLAN) communication link has been negotiated with a second communication device for traffic corresponding to a first traffic identifier (TID), the first communication device transmits packets corresponding to the first TID to the second communication device only via the specific WLAN communication link. In response to the first communication device determining that no WLAN communication link has been negotiated with the second communication device for traffic corresponding to a second TID, transmitting, by the first communication device, packets corresponding to the second TID to the second communication device via multiple WLAN communication links.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TIMELY SCHEDULING

Embodiments of the present application are directed to a method and apparatus for timely scheduling. The method may include: configuring DRX configuration information; and preventing a MAC entity from entering into inactive time in response to that a first MAC PDU is not transmitted in an uplink grant.

A method for skipping paging detection is performed by a terminal, and includes: acquiring paging detection instruction information, the paging detection instruction information indicates to skip the paging detection of at least one paging opportunity period; and in response to the paging detection instruction information, skipping the paging detection of the at least one paging opportunity period.

COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES AND METHODS

A communications device is provided. The communications device (which is a receiving communications device) comprises a transceiver configured to receive signals from and/or to transmit signals to one or more of a plurality of other communications devices within sidelink communications resources of a plurality of resource pool instances of a sidelink interface, each of the resource pool instances being arranged in time in accordance with a resource pool periodicity, the resource pool being formed of a plurality of time-divided slots and a plurality of frequency-divided regions, and a controller. The controller is configured in combination with the transceiver to exchange control signaling with a first transmitting communications device of the plurality of other communications devices. Here, the control signaling comprises an indication of a current power saving status of the receiving communications device.

ENHANCEMENTS FOR WARNING/ALERT SYSTEM NOTIFICATION WITH WAKE UP SIGNAL

A method may include monitoring, by a user equipment, a first wake up signal prior to a paging occasion during a discontinuous reception cycle. The method may also include decoding a physical down-link control channel based on the paging occasion in response to detecting the first wake up signal. The method may also include determining that the decoding failed. The method may further include switching to a common paging occasion to decode the physical downlink control channel after determining that the decoding failed.
