Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device
Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may determine a first transmission power for a first signal and a second transmission power for a second signal. The wireless device may reduce signal transmission power of one or more of the first signal or the second signal, based on a calculated power value exceeding an allowable transmission power. The wireless device may reduce the signal transmission power during an overlap period or a non-overlap period, based on a duration of an overlap of the first signal with the second signal.
Power control techniques for a communication system that includes a repeater
This disclosure generally relates to systems, devices, apparatuses, products, and methods for wireless communication. For example, a communication system may include a repeater that relays communications between communication devices. The repeater determines a downlink gain value to use for one or more downlink initial access messages received at the repeater. The repeater determines an uplink gain value to use for one or more downlink initial access messages received at the repeater. The uplink gain value is based on the downlink gain value and a noise level related to a channel between the communication device and the repeater. The repeater receives a downlink initial access message, and applies the downlink gain value to the downlink initial access message. The repeater receives an uplink initial access message, and applies the uplink gain value to the uplink initial access message.
SELECTIVE DIRECT INCREASE OF TRANSMIT POWER LEVEL OF A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE TO A MAXIMUM POWER LEVEL BASED ON DETECTED ACTIVITY MODE OR RECEIVED SIGNAL QUALITY
A communication device (202) comprises one or more sensors (208) configured to generate sensor data, a wireless interface (206, 306), and a processor (210, 310). The wireless interface is configured to establish a connection with a remote device (402) according to a short-range wireless communication protocol and to transmit one or more signals to the remote device, the one or more signals representing information configured according to a media format. The processor is configured to determine at least one activity mode based on the sensor data from the one or more sensors on at least one of the communication device or the remote device, and during the transmission of the one or more signals, control the wireless interface to increase a transmit power level to a maximum transmit power level based on the determined activity mode.
Power headroom reporting with dual connectivity
Embodiments described herein relate generally to a communication between a user equipment (“UE”) and a plurality of evolved Node Bs (“eNBs”). A UE may be adapted to operate in a dual connected mode on respective wireless cells provided by first and second eNBs. The UE may be adapted to estimate respective power headroom (“PHR”) values associated with simultaneous operation on the first and second wireless cells. The UE may cause the first and second PHR estimates to be transmitted to both the first and second eNBs. The first and second eNBs may use these estimates to compute respective uplink transmission powers for the UE. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
INDICATION INFORMATION SENDING METHOD, INDICATION INFORMATION RECEIVING METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM
An indication information sending method includes that a base station generates first indication information and sends the first indication information to a terminal device. The first indication information indicates a power control manner of a first channel, the power control manner being one power control manner in a power control manner set providing transmit power of a signal on the first channel is determined by a terminal device based on a first parameter or according to a rule predefined on the terminal device.
Uplink power control in dual connectivity
Methods and apparatuses for managing dual connectivity. A method for operating a UE includes receiving a configuration for dynamic power sharing (DPS) between transmissions on a master cell group (MCG) and transmissions on a secondary cell group (SCG) and determining a time offset as a function of sub-carrier spacing (SCS) configurations and of configurations for a PUSCH processing capability on the MCG and on the SCG. The method further includes determining a maximum power for a PUSCH transmission on the SCG, at a beginning of the PUSCH transmission on the SCG, when each of the transmissions on the MCG is scheduled by a downlink control information (DCI) format in a PDCCH reception that ends at least the time offset before the beginning of the PUSCH transmission on the SCG. The method further includes transmitting the transmissions on the MCG and the PUSCH transmission on the SCG.
METHOD, USER EQUIPMENT AND BASE STATION
In one aspect, a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication network includes: receiving, in a downlink control information (DCI), from a base station, at least one indication, wherein each of the at least one indication indicates that uplink transmission by the UE should be cancelled or paused, and includes a combination of at least one bit representing at least one resource configuration for the uplink transmission; and cancelling or pausing respective uplink transmission in dependence on the at least one resource configuration represented by one of the at least one indication.
Method for controlling transmit power in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor
Disclosed is a method for determining transmit power in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention. The method, which is performed by a terminal, comprises the steps of: receiving a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) setting of a short transmission time interval (sTTI); receiving control information for SPS-related transmit power control according to the received setting; and determining an SPS-related transmit power by using a transmit power control (TPC) command included in the received control information, wherein the control information may include a TPC command for each of a plurality of TTI lengths, which includes an SPS-related TPC command of the sTTI.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING LOCATION
A system and method for determining location information with respect to a portable device and an object. The system and method may be based on UWB communications, and more particularly with respect to a first path power determined with respect the UWB communications. In one embodiment, a differential first path power may be determined based on first and second first path power values obtained respectively by first and second devices via UWB communications with the portable device.
Power boosting design for multi-slot shared channels
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a user equipment (UE) to perform power-boosting to increase power for specific portions (e.g., repetitions, symbols, slots) of an uplink transmission, where the portion may overlap with a previously-scheduled uplink transmission from another UE. The base station may configure the UE to apply power-boosting to all portions of the uplink transmission or over specific slots or repetitions of the uplink transmission, or to apply power-boosting if the uplink transmission occupies one slot or repetition. The base station may configure the UE semi-statically or dynamically with the power-boosting configuration, and may configure the UE to perform power-boosting for repetitions of the uplink transmission corresponding to one or more predefined transmission reception points, panels, beams, or precoders. The UE may transmit the uplink transmission to the base station based on the power-boosting configuration.
