Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device
Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may determine a first transmission power for a first signal and a second transmission power for a second signal. The wireless device may reduce signal transmission power of one or more of the first signal or the second signal, based on a calculated power value exceeding an allowable transmission power. The wireless device may reduce the signal transmission power during an overlap period or a non-overlap period, based on a duration of an overlap of the first signal with the second signal.
RADIO FREQUENCY EXPOSURE ESTIMATION WITH RADAR FOR MOBILE DEVICES
A method for exposure level estimation, includes transmitting radar signals for object detection and communication signals for wireless communication operations. The method also includes identifying a location of an object relative to the electronic device within a first time duration based on the radar signals, the first time duration including a previous time until a current time. The method further includes determining a radio frequency (RF) exposure measurement associated with the object based on the location of the object over the first time duration. Additionally, the method includes determining a power density budget over a second time duration based on a comparison of the RF exposure measurement to an RF exposure threshold, the second time duration including the current time until a future time. The method also includes modifying the wireless communication operations for the second time duration based on the power density budget.

METHOD FOR PERFORMING, BY TERMINAL, TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND TERMINAL USING METHOD
Provided are a method for performing, by a terminal, transmission power control in a wireless communication system, and a terminal using the method. The method is characterized by independently calculating first transmission power for wide area network (WAN) transmission performed in a first carrier wave, and second transmission power for transmission according to a device-to-device (D2D) operation performed in a second carrier wave, and reducing the second transmission power if the sum of the first transmission power and the second transmission power is greater than the maximum supported power of the terminal.
Component carrier activation and deactivation using resource assignments
This invention relates to a proposal of an uplink resource assignment format and a downlink resource assignment format. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the new uplink/downlink resource assignments in methods for (de)activation of downlink component carrier(s) configured for a mobile terminal, a base station and a mobile terminal. To enable efficient and robust (de)activation of component carriers, while minimizing the signaling overhead, the invention proposes a new uplink/downlink resource assignment format that allow the activation/deactivation of individual downlink component carriers configured for a mobile. The new uplink or downlink resource assignment comprises an indication of the activation state of the configured downlink component carriers, i.e., indicate which downlink component carrier(s) is/are to be activated or deactivated. This indication is for example implemented by means of a bit-mask that indicates which of the configured uplink component carriers are to be activated respectively deactivated.
Method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions on multiple component carriers associated with multiple timing advances
A method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may reduce transmission power to channels for carrier aggregation such that a total transmit power of the WTRU is smaller than or equal to a maximum transmission power level in all symbols of a transmission. Further, transmission power may be allocated to the channels for carrier aggregation based on priority. Also, transmission power may be allocated to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) with uplink control information over a PUSCH without uplink control information. Moreover, transmission power may be allocated to a PUCCH or a PUSCH over a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission. Additionally, the WTRU may transmit data over one or more channels, of the channels for carrier aggregation, at the respective transmission power allocated to the one or more channels.
