ENHANCEMENTS FOR WARNING/ALERT SYSTEM NOTIFICATION WITH WAKE UP SIGNAL
A method may include monitoring, by a user equipment, a first wake up signal prior to a paging occasion during a discontinuous reception cycle. The method may also include decoding a physical down-link control channel based on the paging occasion in response to detecting the first wake up signal. The method may also include determining that the decoding failed. The method may further include switching to a common paging occasion to decode the physical downlink control channel after determining that the decoding failed.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a communication method and apparatus applied to a user equipment, where the method includes: monitoring a paging indication physical downlink control channel PDCCH; acquiring paging indication information if the paging indication PDCCH is detected; and determining, according to the paging indication information, whether there is a need to monitor a paging PDCCH. The method is used to reduce the number of times a user equipment monitors a paging PDCCH or receives a paging message, thereby saving power of the user equipment.
METHODS FOR AN ENHANCED PAGING OF A WIRELESS DEVICE OF A SET OF WIRELESS DEVICES, RELATED NETWORK NODES AND WIRELESS DEVICES
Disclosed is a method performed by a network node, for an enhanced paging of a wireless device of a set of wireless devices. The method comprises controlling transmission, to the set of wireless devices, of a first paging message in a first paging period. The method comprises transmitting, to the set of wireless devices, in at least one physical signal between the first paging period and a second paging period succeeding the first paging period, control signaling indicating a change in paging of the second paging period, wherein the change in paging is with respect to the first paging period. The method comprises controlling, in accordance with the indicated change, transmission, to the set of wireless devices, of a second paging message in the second paging period.
DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving downlink data, where the downlink data is used to be sent to a terminal device; receiving first information from a second network device, where the first information is used to determine a time point for sending the downlink data to the second network device; and sending the downlink data to the second network device based on the first information, to avoid directly sending the downlink data to the second network device after receiving the downlink data, thereby relieving storage burden of the second network device.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING WIRELESS SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method for a terminal receiving a signal in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: receiving a specific signal giving an early indication of whether paging DCI will be provided in a PO configured for a paging operation in an idle mode or deactivation mode; and, on the basis of the specific signal, determining whether to skip a paging DCI detection procedure, wherein the specific signal may be a PDCCH signal carrying specific DCI configured for the idle mode or deactivation mode, and even if the specific DCI indicates that the paging DCI will be provided in at least one PO, on the basis that the specific DCI may be connected to a plurality of POs, a terminal may decide to skip the paging DCI detection procedure if the at least one PO in which the paging DCI is provided is not configured in the terminal.
TECHNIQUES FOR PAGING EARLY INDICATION FOR UE POWER SAVING IN IDLE/INACTIVE STATE
Various embodiments herein provide techniques paging early indication for a user equipment in an idle and/or inactive state. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
TECHNIQUES FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING PAGING MESSAGES OVER AN UNLICENSED RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM BAND
Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method includes receiving a transmission including a paging group indicator and an indication of a time window. The transmission may be received at a user equipment (UE) over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The first method may also include monitoring, based on the paging group indicator, the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window to receive an asynchronous paging message from a base station. A second method includes transmitting the transmission over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band; performing a number of clear channel assessments (CCAs) on the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window; and transmitting the paging message over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band at a transmission time during the time window. The transmission time may be based on a result of at least one of the CCAs.
Dynamic power sharing in a communications network
Aspects relate to the extension of cross-slot scheduling for power efficient paging between different New Radio (NR) operating platforms or environments. In some examples, the same paging downlink control information (DCI) may be shared between existing NR user equipment (UE) and new NR UE in different time slots, where a single paging DCI schedules multiple paging messages for each operating environment. In some examples, the same paging physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occasion may be shared in existing NR and new NR operating environments for scheduling paging messages in different time slots, but different DCIs are used for scheduling the paging messages. In some examples, the same physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) paging message may be shared in different slots between existing NR and new NR operating environments.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present disclosure provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: a terminal device monitoring a wake-up signal from a network device, where the wake-up signal is used to wake up the terminal device that monitors, on a next paging occasion PO, a physical downlink control channel PDCCH scrambled by a paging radio network temporary identifier P-RNTI; the terminal device determining, according to the wake-up signal, a monitoring situation of monitoring on the next PO the PDCCH scrambled by the P-RNTI. Compared with the prior art, since a wake-up mechanism is introduced, the terminal device monitors the wake-up signal and determines, according to the wake-up signal, the monitoring situation of monitoring on the next PO the PDCCH scrambled by the P-RNTI, preventing a terminal device that has no need for monitoring from monitoring on the next PO, thereby avoiding a paging false alarm of the terminal device.
Base station and radio terminal for performing radio access network paging
A user equipment and apparatus receive from a base station, configuration information configuring the user equipment to provide assistance information indicating a preference of the user equipment to leave RRC connected state, and transmit to the base station, assistance information indicating that a preferred RRC state of the user equipment is an RRC state in which an RRC connection is suspended. A base station transmits to a user equipment, configuration information configuring the user equipment to provide assistance information indicating a preference of the user equipment to leave RRC connected state, and receives from the user equipment, assistance information indicating that a preferred RRC state of the user equipment is an RRC state in which an RRC connection is suspended.
