Enhancement of logical channel prioritization for sidelink transmission
11582719 · 2023-02-14 · ·

A method to prioritize sidelink logical channel (SL LCH) during destination UE selection for sidelink Logical Channel Prioritization (LCP) procedure in NR sidelink communication is proposed to avoid resource starvation. A TX UE prioritizes an RX UE having at least one SL LCH that has not satisfied a required minimum bit rate during destination UE selection when allocating SL resource to a new MAC PDU for SL transmission. The TX UE maintains a value Bj for each SL LCH j, where Bj>0 indicates that the logical channel has not met the requirement of prioritized bit rate. If at least one destination UE has SL LCH with data available for transmission and with Bj>0, then the selected destination UE is the one has the highest-priority SL LCH with data available for transmission and with Bj>0.

Aspects described herein relate to determining a configuration indicating multiple synchronization points, in time, for contention-based communications, determining, for a given synchronization point of the multiple synchronization points, a contention window using a deterministic function based at least in part on one or more configured parameters, and transmitting, during the contention window, one or more contention-based signals in an attempt to acquire a channel for transmitting communications.

TECHNIQUES FOR INTER-UE COORDINATION PRIORITIZATION FOR COLLISION INDICATION

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An example method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) may include receiving at least a first sidelink transmission from a second UE, wherein at least a second sidelink transmission from a third UE is scheduled contemporaneously with at least the first sidelink transmission from the second UE. The method may also include transmitting an indication in a transmission occasion to at least one of the second UE or the third UE based at least in part on a prioritization of information for the transmission occasion, wherein the indication indicates that at least the first sidelink transmission from the second UE is scheduled contemporaneously with at least the second sidelink transmission from at least the third UE.

ASSIGNMENT FOR CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REPORTING ON PHYSICAL UPLINK CONTROL CHANNEL

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device (such as user equipment (UE)) may receive a downlink grant including an indication to report channel state information. The receiving device may identify, based on the downlink grant, a number of channel state information processing units associated with reporting the channel state information, and may determine that an available number of channel state information processing units is less than the number of channel state information processing units. In some cases, the receiving device may allocate, based on the determining, a set of channel state information processing units including the available number of channel state information processing units and one or more additional channel state information processing units. The receiving device may then transmit the channel state information report based on the set of channel state information processing units.
