EARLY INDICATION BY USER EQUIPMENT
A system and method for providing early indications. In some embodiments, the method, includes: indicating, by a User Equipment (UE), as part of an initial access uplink transmission, a characteristic of the UE, the characteristic including at least one of the following: the UE is a reduced-capability UE and has a Msg3 repetition capability, the UE is a reduced-capability UE and lacks a Msg3 repetition capability, the UE is not a reduced-capability UE and has a Msg3 repetition capability, and the UE is not a reduced-capability UE and lacks a Msg3 repetition capability.
APPARATUS, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
An apparatus comprising means for performing: determining information comprising: a rate of failure for random access channel attempts in at least one cell controlled by the apparatus; and/or a number of successful random access channel attempts in the at least one cell controlled by the apparatus and a number of failed random access channel attempts in the at least one cell controlled by the apparatus; and sending the information from the apparatus to a second apparatus.
RANDOM ACCESS PREAMBLE FOR NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORK
The present disclosure relates to methods, systems and devices for use in a wireless terminal includes transmitting, to a wireless network node, a preamble comprising a plurality of parts, wherein each of the plurality of parts comprises at least one sub-preamble and the sub-preambles in the plurality of parts are generated based on a plurality of roots.
Link recovery method and apparatus
Example link recovery methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes determining a link failure of a first control resource set, where the first control resource set is a control resource set configured by a first master information block MIB. A link failure recovery request is sent, where the link failure recovery request is used to request to recover a communication link of the first control resource set. The first control resource set may be a control resource set (CORESET), a control region, or an enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH) set defined in a 5G mobile communications system.
Receiver assisted transmissions in NRU
Receiver assisted channel access may be used during a channel occupancy time (COT). A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) that is a member of a first group may receive a preamble in a first time slot set, and determine a group associated with the first time slot. On a condition that the group associated with the first time slot set is the first group, the WTRU may monitor the channel for a request-to-send (RTS) signal in the first slot set. On a condition that the RTS signal is received, the WTRU may perform listen-before-talk (LBT) on the channel. On a condition that the LBT is successful, the WTRU may transmit a clear-to-send (CTS) on the channel and access the channel in the first time slot. On a condition that the LBT is unsuccessful, the WTRU may not access the channel in the first time slot set.
Selecting a base unit in response to a handover condition being triggered
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for selecting a base unit in response to a handover condition being triggered. One method (1000) includes selecting (1002) a base unit of multiple base units for handover in response to at least one base unit of the multiple base units triggering a handover condition. The method (1000) includes transmitting (1004) a random access preamble to the base unit. The method (1000) includes performing (1006) a reestablishment procedure to establish communication with one base unit of the multiple base units in response to determining an inability to access each base unit of the multiple base units that meets the handover condition.
Redirection mechanism to support network sharing/slicing with CU-DU split
Systems and methods for redirecting Radio Resource Control (RRC) messages in a wireless system that uses Central Unit (CU)/Distributed Unit (DU) splitting and either network sharing or network slicing are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a shared Distributed Unit (DU) comprises receiving a RRC message from a User Equipment (UE) and sending a first DU-to-Central Unit (CU) message to a first CU, where the first DU-to-CU message comprises the RRC message. The method further comprises either obtaining an indication that the first CU is a wrong CU for the RRC message or determining that the first CU is a wrong CU for the RRC message. The method further comprises sending another DU-to-CU message to a second CU, where the other DU-to-CU message comprises the RRC message or a RRC message related to the RRC message.
Method and apparatus for sending uplink control information for multi-radio access technology operation
A method and apparatus for sending uplink control information by a multi-mode wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) capable of operating on multiple component carriers of a plurality of radio access technologies (RATs) for multi-RAT operation are disclosed. The WTRU may generate uplink control information (UCI) pertaining to a first RAT and a second RAT, wherein the UCI may include a first plurality of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgements (HARQ-ACKs) pertaining to a plurality of downlink (DL) transmissions of the first RAT and a second plurality of HARQ-ACKs pertaining to a plurality of DL transmissions of the second RAT. The WTRU may multiplex at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the first RAT and at least part of the generated UCI pertaining to the second RAT onto a physical channel on a component carrier of the second RAT.
SELECTING AND COMMUNICATING BUFFER STATUS INFORMATION
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may select a first type of buffer status information or a second type of buffer status information. The first type of buffer status information may indicate an amount of data buffered and the second type of buffer status information has less bits and is a different format than the first type of buffer status information. The WTRU may select, subsequent to a number of subframes of a transmission of buffer status information of a first type, buffer status information of the first type for transmission.
ACTIVE SEARCH METHOD IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM
An active search method in a wireless LAN system is disclosed. The active search method comprises the steps of: transmitting, through an arbitrary channel, a preceding probe request frame for confirming the existence of an access point; acquiring, from at least one access point, a probe ACK frame that is a response to the preceding probe request frame; setting a maximum waiting time on the basis of the number of probe ACK frames; and performing an active search for an access point in the arbitrary channel for the maximum waiting time. Therefore, the waiting time for receiving a probe response frame can be reduced.
