Method and apparatus for transmitting signal by NAN terminal in wireless communication system
A method for transmitting a signal by a neighbor awareness networking (NAN) terminal in a wireless communication system, according to embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: sensing a medium in a discovery window; selecting a back-off count value when the medium is in an occupied state; and transmitting a service discovery frame after performing countdown on the basis of the back-off count value, wherein an interval in which the back-off count value is determined on the basis of at least one of an interval in which a back-off count value for transmitting a synchronization beacon frame is selected, the length of the discovery window, and a hop count value of the terminal.
Method and apparatus for signaling the release of a persistent resource
A method and apparatus for signaling the release of a persistent resource in long term evolution (LTE) are disclosed. An indication of the release of a downlink (DL) persistent resource is received by a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) from an evolved Node-B (eNB) via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). A positive acknowledgement (ACK) is transmitted by the WTRU which denotes that the indication has been received. The PDCCH or a medium access control (MAC) CE may be used by the eNB to signal the indication. At least one bit may be added to contents of the PDCCH to signal whether the PDCCH is for DL persistent or dynamic resource allocation. The DL persistent resource is then released and an indication that the DL persistent resource has been released is transmitted.
Device and Method of Handling Communication with Base Station
A communication device of handling communication with a base station (BS) comprises instructions of being configured a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the BS by the BS; receiving an RRCConnectionRelease message via the RRC connection from the BS; and delaying at least one operation for a first duration, when receiving the RRCConnectionRelease message, wherein the first duration is from a first time instant at which the RRCConnectionRelease message is received, and the first duration is a first value or a smaller one of the first value and a second value, wherein the first value is predefined as more than 60 ms and the second value is from the first time instant to a second time instant at which the communication device successfully acknowledges a reception of the RRCConnectionRelease message to the BS.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING RELAY COMMUNICATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as a long term evolution (LTE). A method and apparatus for performing a relay communication are provided. A remote user equipment (UE) according to the present disclosure is configured to acquire a first parameter related to relay load from each of a plurality of relay candidate UEs, to select a relay UE which will perform a relay communication with the remote UE from among the plurality of relay candidate UEs based on the first parameter acquired from each of the plurality of relay candidate UEs, and to perform the relay communication with the selected relay UE. The first parameter is generated based on cellular communication load between a base station (BS) connected to a corresponding relay candidate UE and the corresponding relay candidate UE.
METHOD FOR COUPLING SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF
A method for coupling a subscriber identity module in an electronic device and the electronic device thereof. The method includes sensing a request for changing from a currently coupled 1st SIM to a 2nd SIM among a plurality of SIMs. A 1st communication protocol between the 1st SIM and a short-range communication module is inactivated in response to the change request to release a 1st communication session with the 1st SIM. A 2nd communication protocol between the 2nd SIM and the short-range communication module is activated to couple a 2nd communication session with the 2nd SIM.
Apparatus, Systems and Methods for Improved Mobility Between Networks
Described herein are apparatus, systems and methods for improved mobility between wireless networks. A method may comprise, at a user equipment (“UE”) in communication with a cellular network activating a detach timer for the cellular network, detecting a short-range network, communicating with the short-range network, storing registration and bearer context data related to the cellular network, interrupting communication with the cellular network, and prior to the expiration of the detach timer, reconnecting to the cellular network via a service request without using an attach procedure.
System and Method for Cell Switching
A method for operating a first distributed unit (DU) includes participating in a link layer context transfer with a second DU, establishing a user data path for a mobile device, the user data path connecting the mobile device with a centralized unit (CU) including a radio control protocol entity communicating with the mobile device, and storing first user data for the mobile device received from the CU and second user data for the mobile device received from the second DU. The method includes establishing a connection with the mobile device, sending the first user data and the second user data to the mobile device, and adapting the link layer context to operate in the first DU for exchanging data between the CU and the mobile device, wherein adapting the link layer context includes associating an uppermost protocol layer of the first DU with a lowest protocol layer of the CU.
Radio configuration in a carrier aggregation
A plurality of cells are grouped into a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) groups comprising a primary PUCCH group and a secondary PUCCH group. The base station detects a radio link issue with a PUCCH secondary cell while one or more other cells in the secondary PUCCH group have acceptable radio link quality. The base station transmits at least one second message configured to release at least one of the one or more other cells in the secondary PUCCH group.
