Method and Apparatus for Enterprise Credential Identification
A method is disclosed in which a defined vendor specific extension is used to store an enterprise network identifier within a subscriber identity module (SIM). The use of the vendor specific extension makes it easier to provision a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) profile with an enterprise identifier. The vendor specific extension allows the high level operating system (HLOS) of a UE (User Equipment) to obtain an enterprise identifier without impacting the baseband implementation of the UE. The same enterprise identification can be reused in equipment of both 4th Generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) and 5th Generation New Radio (NR) networks.
FREQUENCY RANGE DRIVEN NETWORK SLICING
Network Slice Selection Assistance information (NSSA1) may be signaled between U ser Equipment (UE) and a network. NSSA1 sent from the network to the UE may include, for example. Operating Frequency Band (OFB) for each Single NSSAI(S-NSSA1) in the NSSAI, as well as a Radio Access Technology (RAT) Frequency Selection Priority (RFSP) index, which the network configures as a part of UE access and mobility; subscription, during a UE registration procedure. RAT restrictions may be enhanced to indicate to the UE that certain slices are not accessible via certain RATs. A UE may be provided by the network with an alternative NSSAI and corresponding OFBs for each S-NSSAI thereby indicating to the UE that these S-NSSAI would have been allowed had they been requested. A UE may be able to choose an alternative Allowed NSSAI and send a registration update request to the network.
DATA NETWORK NAME (DNN) MODIFICATION FOR A WIRELESS USER EQUIPMENT (UE) IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A wireless communication network serves a wireless data service to a wireless User Equipment (UE). In the wireless communication network, a network controller receives a service request from a wireless UE and transfers a UE context request to a Unified Data Management (UDM). The UDM retrieves a subscriber profile for the wireless UE. The UDM identifies a wireless service type for the wireless UE and identifies a set of virtual Data Network Names (vDNNs) in the subscriber profile. The UDM selects one of the vDNNs for the wireless UE based on the wireless service type of the wireless UE. The UDM indicates the selected one of the vDNNs to the network controller. The network controller overrides provisioned DNN values using the selected one of the vDNNs. The network controller establishes a wireless data session for the wireless UE based on the selected one of the vDNNs.

Systems and methods for providing robust connectivity to vehicles
Systems and methods are provided to manage, control, and configure connectivity for vehicles or other devices. Data in different formats, which is received from different connectivity providers, is converted into a unified data format and stored in a data store. The unified data format allows analytics to be performed across the converted data. In some embodiments, a connectivity type of a plurality of connectivity types associated with a vehicle is controlled based on a current lifecycle stage of the vehicle. In some embodiments, a first data connection between a device and a first connectivity provider is utilized. Based on an identified change in location of the device and information associated with a second data connection between the device and a second connectivity provider, a switch to the second data connection is facilitated based on a determination that that the second data connection has more optimal characteristics.
Methods and systems for managing decoding of control channels on a multi-SIM UE
Methods and systems for managing decoding of control channel on a multi-SIM UE. A method includes receiving, by the UE, the plurality of control channels from at least one Base Station (BS), the plurality of control channels corresponding to a plurality of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs), selecting, by the UE, a respective decoder for each of the plurality of SIMs, and decoding, by the UE, each respective control channel among the plurality of control channels using the respective decoder for a respective SIM among the plurality of SIMs, the respective SIM corresponding to the respective control channel.
Method for updating policy information, network device and terminal device
Provided are a wireless communication method, a network device and a terminal device. The method includes: after acquiring a PSI parameter of a terminal device, a first network device determines whether to update policy information of the terminal device, wherein the PSI parameter is used for identifying a part of policy information for the terminal device under a subscribed user. In an implementation of the present disclosure, after acquiring a Policy Section Identifier (PSI) parameter of a terminal device, a first network device directly determines whether to update policy information of the terminal device.
Proactive and reactive management for devices in a network
The disclosed technology includes a health engine that monitors and modifies customer-premises equipment (CPE) devices. The health engine can detect patterns in CPE device behavior, identify problems with CPE devices, and adjust CPE device configurations proactively or reactively to address problems or prevent problems. In some implementations, the health engine can instruct a CPE device or gateway to restart, update its software or firmware, notify a user of the CPE device of an unhealthy behavior pattern in a CPE device. The health engine can modify a CPE device prior to a user using the device or when the CPE device is inactive.

Apparatuses and methods for coordinating operations associated with multiple subscriber identities
A mobile communication device including a Radio Frequency (RF) device and a controller is provided. The controller activates a predetermine Application (APP), and provides a Packet-Switched (PS) data service for the predetermined APP using a first subscriber identity via the RF device. Also, the controller establishes a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection using a second subscriber identity via the RF device to enable the mobile communication device to enter an RRC connected mode after the predetermined APP is activated, and keeps the mobile communication device in the RRC connected mode associated with the second subscriber identity while providing the PS data service for the predetermined APP using the first subscriber identity.
