DATA NETWORK NAME (DNN) MODIFICATION FOR A WIRELESS USER EQUIPMENT (UE) IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A wireless communication network serves a wireless data service to a wireless User Equipment (UE). In the wireless communication network, a network controller receives a service request from a wireless UE and transfers a UE context request to a Unified Data Management (UDM). The UDM retrieves a subscriber profile for the wireless UE. The UDM identifies a wireless service type for the wireless UE and identifies a set of virtual Data Network Names (vDNNs) in the subscriber profile. The UDM selects one of the vDNNs for the wireless UE based on the wireless service type of the wireless UE. The UDM indicates the selected one of the vDNNs to the network controller. The network controller overrides provisioned DNN values using the selected one of the vDNNs. The network controller establishes a wireless data session for the wireless UE based on the selected one of the vDNNs.
AUTO-UPDATE AND ACTIVATION OF LOCALE-SPECIFIC ESIM PROFILE FOR A GLOBAL ENTERPRISE USER
A method is performed at a server that manages embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profiles. The method includes, when a user equipment that belongs to a global enterprise network relocates from a first locale to a second locale in which a first private network and a second private network of the global enterprise network are located, wherein the user equipment includes a locale-specific first eSIM profile that includes a first non-public network identifier of the first private network, receiving, from the user equipment over a network in the second locale, information that indicates the user equipment is in the second locale. The method further includes identifying the second private network based on the information, and generating a locale-specific second eSIM profile that includes a second non-public network identifier for the second private network. The method includes configuring the user equipment with the locale-specific second eSIM profile.
MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A MULTIPLICITY OF MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS CELLS IN A BUILDING OR CAMPUS
A mobile communications transmission system provides a plurality of mobile communications cells in a building or campus. It comprises a first baseband unit and a first gateway device, which is connectable to a data network. At least one transceiver unit is connected to the first baseband unit. The at least one transceiver unit is configured to provide at least one first mobile communications cell. By way of this first mobile communications cell, a subscriber device in the building can exchange information with the data network. A first control device is connected to the first baseband unit and the first gateway device. The first baseband unit and the first gateway device are installed in the building or campus in which the at least one transceiver unit provides the at least one first mobile communications cell, whereas the first control device is accommodated remote therefrom at an operating company.
AI-Based Multi-Mode Wireless Access Protocol (MMWAP)
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-mode wireless access protocol (MMWAP). A redirection router may receive a pre-association request, from a user communication device, and send an acknowledgment of the pre-association request. The user communication device may further transmit authorization keys associated with an application installed in the user communication device. Based on the authorization keys, the redirection router may send an authentication indication to the user communication device. The user communication device may use the redirection router to transmit and receive messages associated with the application to public networks and other private networks. The redirection router may maintain multi-mode connectivity independently with multiple user communication devices.
SERVICE AUTHORIZATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of this application relate to a service authorization method and system, and an apparatus. The method includes: A first NRF receives a first request requesting an access token for accessing service of a second NF in a second network from a first NF, where the first NF and the first NRF are located in a first network, and the first request includes SNPN information of the first network and/or the second network. The first NRF forwards the first request to a second NRF located in the second network. The second NRF generates an access token in response to the first request, where the access token includes the SNPN information of the first network and/or the second network. The second NRF sends the access token to the first NRF. The first NRF receives the access token and sends the access token to the first NF.
INTERFACES FOR CREATING RADIO-BASED PRIVATE NETWORKS
Disclosed are various embodiments for interfaces for creating radio-based private networks. In one embodiment, a request is received via an interface to create a radio-based private network for a customer. The request indicates a quantity of wireless devices that will connect to the radio-based private network. A quantity of radio units to serve the radio-based private network is determined based at least in part on the quantity of wireless devices. The radio units are preconfigured to implement a radio access network for the radio-based private network. A shipment is initiated to the customer of the radio units that have been preconfigured. Resources in a cloud provider network are provisioned to function as a core network for the radio-based private network.
PAGING METHOD AND DEVICE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Provided is a communication method performed by a user equipment (UE) to receive a paging message, the communication method including registering to a stand-alone non-public network (SNPN), transmitting, to a session management function (SMF) of the SNPN or an access and mobility management function (AMF) of the SNPN, a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request message for requesting subscription to a notification service for receiving a paging message of a public land mobile network (PLMN), registering to the PLMN through the SNPN and a non-3GPP inter-working function (N3IWF) of the PLMN, in a case where a paging event occurs when the UE is in an idle state in the PLMN, receiving the paging message from the AMF of the SNPN having received a notification message based on the notification service, and performing a service request procedure based on the paging message.
USER EQUIPMENT (UE) AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD
A communicator is provided that, in a 5GS, in a case that a User Equipment (UE) is registered with a Non-Public Network (NPN) and a Local Area Data Network (LADN) is connectable, allows the UE to appropriately process information of the LADN received from a control apparatus of a core network. Furthermore, the communicator also allows the control apparatus of the core network to perform appropriate error processing in a case that a UE is registered with a Non-Public Network (NPN) and a Local Area Data Network (LADN) is not connectable. Thus, provided is the communicator that, in 5GS, in a case that the UE is registered with the Non-Public Network (NPN) and the Local Area Data Network (LADN) is connectable, implements processing of the control apparatus of the core network and processing of the UE.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUSPENDING MEASUREMENT WITH MEASUREMENT CONFIGURATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for suspending measurement with measurement configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device receives, from a first cell, measurement configuration including a measurement frequency list and a suspension cell list. A wireless device perform measurements on at least one frequency included in the measurement frequency list. A wireless device moves to a second cell from the first cell. A wireless device stops the measurements and keeps the measurement configuration, based on determining that the second cell is included in the suspension cell list.
