An integral resistance heater is disclosed. The heater includes a beryllium oxide (BeO) ceramic body having a first surface and a second surface. A heating element is formed from a metal foil or metallizing paint and is printed onto the top or second surface of the beryllium oxide ceramic body.
ELECTRICALLY-POWERED AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEM
An aerosol delivery system is provided, comprising a control body portion including a first elongate tubular member having a power source disposed therein. A cartridge body portion includes a second tubular member having opposed first and second ends. One of the first and second ends is removably engaged with one end of the control body portion. The cartridge body portion further comprises a first aerosol generation arrangement disposed within the second tubular member and configured to operably engage the power source upon engagement between the control body portion and the cartridge body portion. The other of the first and second ends of the cartridge body portion is configured as a mouth-engaging end. The cartridge body portion further includes a second aerosol generation arrangement disposed within the second tubular member between the first aerosol generation arrangement and the mouth-engaging end. An associated method is also provided.
Dental furnace and process for operating a dental furnace
The invention relates to a dental furnace, in particular a high-temperature dental furnace for oxide ceramics such as zirconium dioxide having sintering temperatures of between 1300 and 1850° C., comprising a heating element (10) which is intended to give off heating energy to the firing chamber. It is provided that the heating element (10) comprises at least two heating element sections (48, 50) adjoining one another at a transition area (34) which is not current-carrying and/or which extends away laterally, that the transition area (34) is supported on a position, in particular on the free end, spaced apart from the electrical connections (16, 18) on the dental furnace and carries at least the two adjoining parts of heating element sections (48, 50).
MULTILAYERED PANELS
A panel includes a substrate and an electro-thermal layer disposed on the substrate. A thermally conductive and electrically insulating top layer is disposed on the electro-thermal layer. The top layer, electro-thermal layer, and substrate can all be printed layers. The electro-thermal layer can be a first electro-thermal layer and the top layer can be a first top layer, wherein at least one additional electro-thermal layer and at least one additional top layer are disposed on the first top layer, wherein the additional electro-thermal and top layers are disposed in an alternating order.

Apparatus for casting a mold
An apparatus for casting a part that includes a first housing, a second housing, a handling system and a cooling apparatus. The first housing defines a first chamber. The first chamber is configured to receive a melt heater and a mold heater. The second housing is configured to move between a first position and a second position such that when the second housing is in the first position, the first housing is open such that a mold can be inserted therein and when the second housing is in the second position, the second housing and the first housing define a second chamber. The cooling apparatus is configured to be positioned within the second chamber.
Method for casting a mold
A method for casting a part, that includes the steps of: introducing a mold into a first housing; engaging the first housing with a second housing to define a second chamber; melting an ingot within the furnace; reducing pressure within the second chamber to a first predetermined pressure; pouring at least a portion of the melted ingot into the mold; adding an gas to the second chamber to raise the pressure to a second predetermined pressure; moving the mold such that it is engaged with the means for cooling; and solidifying the liquid metal within the mold.
