SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING A GROW CYCLE
Systems and methods for creating a grow cycle are described. One embodiment of a method includes receiving a plant type for providing grow lighting and receiving first data for creating a first grow cycle for a first predetermined period of plant growth, where the first grow cycle includes providing a first wavelength of photon-emitting lighting. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving second data for creating a second grow cycle for a second predetermined period of plant growth, where the second grow cycle includes providing a second wavelength of photon-emitting lighting, determining when the first predetermined period of plant growth begins, and in response to determining that the first predetermined period of plant growth has begun, implementing the first grow cycle. In some embodiments, the method includes determining when the second predetermined period of plant growth begins and, in response to determining that the second predetermined period of plant growth has begun, implementing the second grow cycle.

Information processing method, information processing system, and electric light bulb light source apparatus
This information processing method is executed by an electric light bulb light source apparatus, which includes a lighting unit, and a functional unit, the information processing method including: selecting, from any of a parent mode and a child mode, an operation mode for cooperative control with a different electric light bulb light source apparatus with respect to the functional unit, and setting the selected operation mode. In a case where the parent mode is set, the lighting unit is caused to execute a first lighting operation for the parent mode in response to a predetermined lighting control signal relating to an operation of the lighting unit, and a cooperative control signal for causing a second lighting operation for the child mode to be executed is transmitted to the different electric light bulb light source apparatus set to the child mode, the second lighting operation for the child mode being different from the first lighting operation. In a case where the child mode is set, the lighting unit is caused to execute the second lighting operation on the basis of the cooperative control signal transmitted from the different electric light bulb light source apparatus set to the parent mode.

Communication interface device for a solid-state luminaire
A device is disclosed for providing a communication interface for a solid-state luminaire. The disclosed device may be configured, for example, as a dongle to be electrically coupled with power lines between a driver and solid-state light source. The device may draw power from the power lines, while also adjusting and, if desired, monitoring current going to the light source. In some embodiments, the device splits current received from the driver into a first portion that is returned to the driver or consumed within the device and a second portion that is time-modulated and delivered to the light source. In some other embodiments, the device provides a time-varying impedance in series with the driver, reducing current received by the light source in a time-modulated manner. In either case, the device optionally may be configured to cause the light source to output a pulsing light signal encoded with data.
