ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE PREVENTION PUMP
A dispensing system includes a dispense material supply that contains a dispense material and a dispensing pump connected downstream from the dispense material supply. The dispensing pump includes a body made of a first electrically conductive material, one or more first electrical contacts that are disposed on the body of the dispensing pump, and one or more first connection wires that are coupled between each one of the one or more first electrical contacts and ground. The dispensing system also includes a dispensing nozzle connected downstream from the dispensing pump and includes a tube made of a second electrically conductive material, one or more second electrical contacts that are disposed on an outer surface of the tube, and one or more second connection wires that are coupled between each one of the one or more second electrical contacts and the ground.

Method for Making Static-Dissipative Composite Structure with Exposed Conductive Fiber
Provided is a method for making a composite structure with exposed conductive fibers. The exposed conductive fibers can be used for static dissipation. In the present method, a liquid, gum, gel, or impermeable film mask is applied to the conductive fiber material. The mask functions to prevent infiltration of curable liquid resin into the conductive fiber material. The masked conductive fiber material is incorporated into the composite structure, along with structural fiber material. The liquid resin is cured. The mask material and cured resin are removed from the masked areas, thereby exposing the conductive fiber material. The exposed conductive fiber material can collect and drain electrostatic charges. The present method can be used to make storage tanks and other objects that require electrostatic charge dissipation.

The present application relates to static charge reduction device comprising a humid medium generator for generating a humid medium with a specified relative humidity, a humid medium delivery apparatus for delivering the humid medium to a target object, a grounded apparatus connecting the humid medium delivery apparatus and ground, and a conductive means which both contacting the target object and connecting the grounded apparatus; wherein the humid medium delivery apparatus, the conductive means and the target object are arranged successively along a delivery path of the humid medium, such that the humid medium is delivered through the humid medium delivery apparatus, the conductive means and the target object successively for static charge reduction. The discovery is surprising because no air ionizer has been used in neutralizing and cutting down the static charge
