Apparatuses and methods for delivering bioactive substances or cosmetic substances using plasmaporation and microneedles are provided. The delivery of the substances includes topical, intracellular, intercellular, and transdermal delivery to the subject.
Microplasma devices for surface or object treatment and biofilm removal
An air fed mycoplasma device includes an array of elongate microchannels formed in a plastic or ceramic having tolerance to ozone and other radicals formed when plasma is generated from air in the microchannels. The microchannels include inlets configured to accept an air feed, and outlets configured to direct plasma jets toward a surface (which may be flat or internal to a pipe, for example) or object. An array of electrodes within the plastic/ceramic housing is configured to ignite and maintain plasma in the microchannels and is isolated by the dielectric from the microchannels. A supply intake for is configured to providing a plasma medium into the microchannels.
Device and Method for Generating a Dielectric Barrier Discharge
In an embodiment a device includes a thermoelectric component, an electrode arranged opposite the thermoelectric component and a high voltage source configured to generate a high voltage between the thermoelectric component and the electrode sufficient to ignite a dielectric barrier discharge.
Plasma generator
A plasma generator includes an AC power supply, a power supply electrode and a ground electrode, one of which is disposed in a gas flow path and the other of which is a conductive wall constituting the gas flow path, an inflexible connection member configured to electrically connect the AC power supply and the power supply electrode, and an insulating material (power supply side insulating material, ground side insulating material) covering a side of one of the power supply electrode and the ground electrode, the side facing the other electrode.
DIELECTRIC ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTRODE OF NON-THERMAL PLASMA REACTOR
A dielectric assembly for a plasma reactor includes a first dielectric layer having a first surface, and a second surface opposite the first surface, a second dielectric layer, thinner than the first dielectric layer, have a third surface, and a fourth surface opposite the third surface, and an electrode disposed between the second surface and the third surface. The electrode may be ring shaped and/or disposed on a spherical surface. A non-reactive coating may be disposed on a surface of the dielectric assembly exposed to a plasma chamber of the plasma reactor. The coating may be disposed in the form of rings with a gap between each ring.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE, LOW TEMPERATURE PLASMA
A plasma generator generates atmospheric pressure, low temperature plasma (cold plasma), and includes a first electrode; a second electrode opposing the first electrode such that a bottom surface of the first electrode faces a top surface of the second electrode, the second electrode arranged so as to define a predetermined gap between the planar bottom surface of the first electrode and the planar top surface of the second electrode; a dielectric layer that is disposed on at least a part of the bottom surface of the first electrode having a relative permittivity between 2 and 500, and a thickness of 3 mm or less; and a power supply configured to supply electrical power to the first and second electrodes at a predetermined voltage and frequency, such that, based on the predetermined gap between the first electrode and the second electrode, atmospheric pressure, low temperature plasma is generated.
Device for an electrical processing of a fatty substance of plant origin
The present invention relates to a device for electrically processing a fatty substance of plant origin, comprising a series of electrodes (1 and 2) and an enclosure (4), said device being characterised in that the enclosure (4) is provided with at least one electrical connector (5) placed on the outer surface (40) of the enclosure (4), a series of electrical connections for connecting each electrode of said series of electrodes to said electrical connector (5), with the current flow distances of the electrical connections being equal in relation to each other, and a first inlet (6) and a first outlet (7) for the fatty substance, and in that said device comprises a filter (12) having an inlet (13) in fluidic connection with said first fatty-substance outlet (7) of the enclosure (4) and an output (14) in fluidic connection with said first fatty-substance inlet (6) of the enclosure (4).
PLASMA TREATMENT DEVICE
A plasma treatment device includes dielectric plates arranged in parallel, sets of active electrodes disposed on outwardly facing sides of the dielectric plates, respectively, and ground electrodes interposed between inwardly facing sides of the dielectric plates. The sets of active electrodes and the ground electrodes are arranged to define a plasma treatment zone, which exhibits multi-axis symmetry and which is receptive of particles, and are operable to generate plasma for plasma treating the particles therein.
Isolated plasma tube treatment systems
Systems, methods, and apparatus are contemplated in which a tube cell that produces a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is individually configured to minimize the mixing of unwanted byproducts of the generated plasma with an exhaust air stream. The tube cell generates a DBD within a tube cell, such that oxidants or radicals are generated in an environment substantially separated from the exhaust stream. The generated oxidants are directed to intersect with the exhaust stream to minimize the generation of unwanted byproducts. The tube cells are further shaped and arranged in tube cell arrays to alter the flow dynamics of the exhaust stream and the oxidant or radical streams, including mixing of the streams.
