The present application relates to a cold plasma device (1) for treating skin (5). The cold plasma device (1) comprises a cold plasma generator (3) adapted to generate cold plasma that produces reactive species for treating said skin (5), and a manipulator (10) adapted to manipulate said skin (5) to increase exposure of bacteria on said skin to said reactive species during use of the device.
Flat flexible coating arrangement
The invention relates to a flat flexible coating arrangement comprising a coating surface (9) for placing on a body region of a living being and at least one electrode (3, 3′) arranged above the coating surface (9), and a dielectric (1) containing the at least one electrode (3, 3′), the at least one electrode (3, 3′) comprising a supply line for an AC high voltage in order to form a dielectrically impeded plasma. Said arrangement enables fusion processes over the course of the plasma treatment and optionally wound healing without removing the coating arrangement from the body region by means of at least one built-in sensor (14) for determining at least one parameter of the body region.
PLASMA ENHANCED AEROSOL DEVICE
An aerosol device is provided for user inhalation of an aerosol stream. The device includes: an aerosol inhaler adapted for guiding the aerosol stream having a plurality of microdroplets; a non-thermal plasma jet generator adapted for generating a plasma plume of non-thermal plasma; the plasma jet generator includes an outlet for exhausting the plasma plume in the aerosol stream.
MICROPLASMA INTEGRATED ARRAY OTOSCOPE SPECULUM AND EAR TREATMENT METHODS
A speculum body is configured to attach to the otoscope. An array of radially situated microchannels is within the speculum body and extends to apertures in a distal end of the speculum body. A power electrode array is within the speculum body positioned with respect to the microchannels to excite plasma generation within the microchannels. An optically transparent central portion is in the body to permit viewing of an eardrum by a practitioner. A method of treatment of the middle ear and/or middle ear cavity incudes actuating plasma jets to extend into the ear canal from a speculum attached to the otoscope and continuing the plasma jet treatment for a period of time sufficient to inactivate or kill a bacterial biofilm in the middle ear and/or the middle ear cavity.
System and method for micro-sized cold atmospheric plasma treatment
A micro-sized cold atmospheric plasma accessory. The micro-sized cold atmospheric plasma accessory comprises a tube, an active electrode within said tube, and a nozzle at a distal end of said tube, said nozzle having an inner diameter less than 1 mm and a length less than 30 mm. A distal end inner diameter of said tube is greater than said inner diameter of said nozzle. The nozzle preferable is 15-25 mm in length. The nozzle may comprise stainless steel. The tube may have an inner diameter greater than 1 mm. The nozzle preferably has a distal end inner diameter less than 280 μm. The micro-sized cold atmospheric plasma accessory may further comprise a return electrode on an outside of said tube. The tube may comprise a quartz tube
Non-thermal atmospheric-pressure plasma keloid treatment device, and use thereof
The present invention relates to a non-thermal atmospheric-pressure plasma keloid treatment device and a use thereof. The non-thermal atmospheric-pressure plasma keloid treatment device according to the present invention has effects of inhibiting collagen deposition in keloid fibroblasts and mobility thereof, and thus, is expected to be greatly useful for preventing and treating keloids.
Magnetic latch connector assembly
A connector is configured to electrically connect a plasma emitter array with an identification chip to a power supply controller, and to further mechanically support the emitter device supporting the array during use. Cooperating components of the connector and emitter device form a magnetic latch assembly: the connector includes one or more magnets flush with a top receiving surface of the connector, and one or more alignment pegs extending outward from the receiving surface; the emitter device includes a steel plate attached to a substrate, and one or more holes disposed through the plate and the substrate. The holes align with the alignment pegs and the magnets attract the plate and secure the emitter device against the top receiving surface. Electrical contacts of the connector establish electrical communication with the identification chip, providing power to the emitter device and enabling the controller to read data stored in the identification chip.
DEVICE FOR COLD PLASMA TREATMENT, COLD PLASMA ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEM
A device for cold plasma endoscopy may include a cold plasma generating system, a catheter and electrically conductive means. The cold plasma generating system includes a gas source, an electrical source, a dielectric chamber, a first electrode surrounding the dielectric chamber and electrically connected to the electrical source. The catheter has a first lumen for carrying the cold plasma fluidly connected to the dielectric chamber at a proximal end and having an opening at a distal end for delivering the cold plasma. The electrically conductive means extend inside the first lumen. The electrical source is configured to apply a pulsed excitation signal to the first electrode. The device includes remotely actuated deployable confinement means for creating a confined space, wherein the opening of the first lumen is arranged in the confined space, the deployable confinement means allowing for confining the plasma substantially within the confined space.
PLASMA DEVICE WITH A REPLACEABLE (PLUG-IN) DISCHARGE TUBE
This is a pluggable plasma discharge tube device having a replaceable discharge tube and a hand-held shell into which the replaceable discharge tube is plugged. There is a single electrode inside of the tube and no other electrodes outside. This electrode is connected to an output of a power supply and another output of the power supply is connected to a ground wire of its circuit. The input of the power supply is a 12V or lower, DC (direct current) source, or a battery. The plasma is generated via a contact-tube outside discharge, or a plasma jet from the tube, that uses working inert gas. The plasma discharge tube will produce atmospheric pressure, cold quasi-glow plasma, which can be used for sensitive surface disinfection, sterilization, as well as facial skin rejuvenation, treatment of skin tissue infections and destruction of cancer cells.
