The invention relates to a treatment device for dielectric harrier discharge plasma treatment of a wound surface or skin surface, having: a flexible, planar electrode assembly with at least one planar electrode (6, 6′) and a dielectric layer (5) which at least partially embeds the at least one electrode (6, 6′), has a contact side (7) facing the wound surface or skin surface and electrically shields the planar electrode (6, 6′) from the wound surface or skin surface such that only a dielectric barrier current can flow from the electrode (6, 6′) to the wound surface or skin surface; and a control device (2) which has a separate housing (25) and via which the electrode (6, 6′) can be connected to an operating voltage. The treatment device allows simpler wound treatment in that the assembly of electrode (6, 6′) and dielectric layer (5) is designed for uninterrupted contact with the wound surface or skin surface and that the housing (25) of the control device (2) can be fastened with a fastening device (3, 3′) to the body having the wound surface or skin surface.

A sterilization device or the like is equipped with a plasma generator and an ultraviolet light source, wherein the plasma generator is a plasma actuator provided with a first electrode and a second electrode with a dielectric in-between, and in which an induced flow including ozone is generated by application of a voltage between the two electrodes, the ultraviolet light source is arranged so as to be able to irradiate the surface of an object to be sterilized, and the plasma actuator is arranged so that the induced flow is supplied to said surface.

The sterilisation apparatus comprises: a microwave source arranged to generate microwave energy; a mist generator arranged to generate a flow of water mist; a gas supply; a manifold connected to receive the flow of water mist from the mist generator; and a plurality of plasma applicators connected to the manifold, wherein each plasma applicator is connected to receive microwave energy from the microwave source and a flow of gas from the gas supply, wherein each plasma applicator is configured to strike a plasma at a distal end thereof, wherein the distal ends of the plurality of plasma applicators are disposed in a plasma generating region defined by the manifold, and wherein the manifold is configured to direct the flow of water mist through the plasma generating region to an outlet thereof.

Sterilisation systems suitable for clinical use for generating a flow of hydroxyl radicals, comprising: a coaxial transmission line comprising an inner and outer conductor; an end cap mounted on a distal end of the coaxial transmission line, wherein the end cap comprises an outlet aperture; a fluid conduit extending from a fluid inlet to the outlet aperture; and a plasma generating region at a proximal end of the outlet aperture, wherein the plasma generating region contains a first electrode electrically connected to the inner conductor, and a second electrode electrically connected to the outer conductor, wherein the fluid conduit defines a fluid flow path through the device aligned with a feed direction in which fluid is receivable through the fluid inlet, and wherein the first electrode and second electrode oppose each other in a transverse direction across the longitudinal fluid flow path in the plasma generating region.

The present disclosure relates to a cold plasma generating apparatus that can efficiently ignite (initially discharge) cold plasma and easily match common impedance and that is optimized for use in applications related to sterilization because it can uniformly distribute power to multiple plasma sources through a single power supply in a multi-plasma array configuration and increase effective plasma volume, and a multi-cold plasma array apparatus comprising the same.

PLASMA DEVICE WITH A REPLACEABLE (PLUG-IN) DISCHARGE TUBE
This is a pluggable plasma discharge tube device having a replaceable discharge tube and a hand-held shell into which the replaceable discharge tube is plugged. There is a single electrode inside of the tube and no other electrodes outside. This electrode is connected to an output of a power supply and another output of the power supply is connected to a ground wire of its circuit. The input of the power supply is a 12V or lower, DC (direct current) source, or a battery. The plasma is generated via a contact-tube outside discharge, or a plasma jet from the tube, that uses working inert gas. The plasma discharge tube will produce atmospheric pressure, cold quasi-glow plasma, which can be used for sensitive surface disinfection, sterilization, as well as facial skin rejuvenation, treatment of skin tissue infections and destruction of cancer cells.
