A display panel includes at least one pixel unit. The pixel unit includes a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, a third sub-pixel and a fourth sub-pixel. The first, second, third and fourth sub-pixels include a first color filter portion, second color filter portion, a third color filter portion and a fourth color filter portion, respectively. The first, second and third color filter portions are configured to emit light of three primary colors. A material of the fourth color filter portion includes at least one light conversion material configured to convert a portion of light directed to the fourth color filter portion into light of at least one primary color. The light of at least one primary color is capable of being mixed with another portion of the light directed to the fourth color filter portion to generate white light.

The present disclosure relates to a display device comprising a spacer and a manufacturing method thereof. A first separation distance between a first separator and a second separator, among the spacers, at a first area of the display device is different from a second separation distance between the first separator and the second separator at a second area of the display device.

A display device includes: a display layer in which a plurality of light emitting regions are defined; a barrier rib disposed on the display layer and having a plurality of first openings overlapping the plurality of light emitting regions defined therein; and a plurality of optical patterns disposed in the plurality of first openings. The barrier rib may include a first portion around the plurality of first openings and a second portion spaced apart from the plurality of first openings with the first portion therebetween, and the first portion may be more liquid repellent than the second portion.

An electroluminescent display device includes a substrate having a display area surrounding a through-hole, and a non-display area disposed between the display area and the through-hole, a thin-film transistor disposed on an upper portion of the display area and a light-emitting element connected to the thin-film transistor, a plurality of insulating layers disposed between the substrate and the thin-film transistor, a planarization layer disposed between the thin-film transistor and the light-emitting element, and at least one anti-connection part disposed in the non-display area and including the plurality of insulating layers and the planarization layer, in which the planarization layer and the plurality of insulating layers, which constitute the anti-connection part, and each of the planarization layer and the plurality of insulating layers has an undercut shape in which a bottom surface is narrower than a top surface, so that the light-emitting part of the light-emitting element is disconnected in the through-hole by the anti-connection part, thereby penetration of moisture through the light-emitting part may be inhibited.

A display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate disposed on the first substrate, a display disposed on the first substrate, a sealant disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate along an outer portion of the second substrate and attaching the first substrate to the second substrate together, and a filler disposed in a space defined by the first substrate, the second substrate and the sealant. The filler is spaced apart from an inner surface of the sealant with an empty space disposed therebetween. An edge of the filler is inclined with respect to a first surface of the second substrate.
