An estimation program according to the application concerned causes a computer to execute an obtaining step and an estimating step. The obtaining step includes obtaining behavior information which indicates the behavior exhibited by a specific fish species having a predetermined physical abnormality. The estimating step includes estimating, based on the behavior information obtained at the obtaining step and based on state information indicating the state of the target fish for processing, behavioral features of the target fish for processing that are attributable to the predetermined physical abnormality seen in the target fish for processing.

SYSTEMS FOR SECURING FLORA OR FAUNA FRAGMENTS TO AN UNDERWATER SUBSTRATE AND METHODS RELATED THERETO

A securing clip includes: an enclosure body including a first end, a second end, and one or more sidewalls that extend between the first end and the second end; one or more fragment module securing tangs extending, from one or more of the sidewalls, into the cavity such that when at least a portion of the fragment module is placed within the cavity, at least a portion of the fragment module securing tang is designed to engage with the fragment module and prevents and/or impedes removal of at least a portion of the fragment module from the cavity; and one or more substrate securing tangs extending from the enclosure body and away from the cavity, each substrate securing tang designed to prevent and/or impede removal of the securing clip when the securing clip is placed into a substrate aperture defined within the substrate

Enhanced controller synchronization verification

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that validate the synchronization of controllers in an aquaculture environment. One of the methods includes an image processor that receives images generated by a first image generating device that includes a light filter that is associated with light of a particular light frequency while an aquaculture environment was illuminated with light. Based on the image, the image processor determines whether the intensity value of the light frequency in the image satisfies a threshold value. Based on determining whether the intensity value of the light frequency in the image satisfies the threshold value, the image processor determines whether the aquaculture environment was illuminated with light of the particular light frequency when the image was generated. The image processor provides an indication of whether the aquaculture was illuminated with light of the particular frequency when the image was generated.

Lead-free copper-zinc alloy that can withstand the marine environment

The invention provides a copper-zinc alloy with low lead content useful in the manufacture of wire used in the manufacture of cages for aquaculture, where said wire suffers the least deterioration due to loss of zinc during exposure to stagnant water, water of little movement or sea waters.

Feeder

Directional feeders having a feed slide, a feed pocket and multiple flappers on a rotor are disclosed. The rotor may be configured to have a horizontal axis of rotation such that gravity conveys feed down the feed slide to a feed pocket which redirects the feed into a rotor housing.

UNDERWATER ORGANISM IMAGING AID SYSTEM, UNDERWATER ORGANISM IMAGING AID METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
20230045358 · 2023-02-09 · ·

An underwater organism imaging aid system according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes, at least one memory configured to store instructions, and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: detect an underwater organism from an image acquired by a camera, determine a positional relationship between the underwater organism detected and the camera, and output auxiliary information for moving the camera in such a way that a side face of the underwater organism and an imaging face of the camera face each other based on the positional relationship.

METHOD FOR SURVEYING ECOSYSTEM IN WATER ENVIRONMENT BY USING ENVIRONMENTAL RNA
20230043155 · 2023-02-09 · ·

The present invention provides a simple and highly accurate method for an ecological survey with low environmental burden, more specifically, a method for analyzing biological species living in a water environment. The method assesses biological species living in the water environment quantitatively and further identify them exhaustively by analyzing RNA contained in the water environment.

A pot for catching crabs or fish has a lockable door adapted for unloading crabs or fish from the pot and a locking mechanism operable for locking and unlocking the door. The crab or fish pot has a frame structure defining a shape of the pot; a number of mesh panels attached to the frame structure; and at least one entrance for crabs or fish to enter the pot.

Aquatic farming in intermodal containers

The present invention generally relates to an aquatic farming system (200) comprising one or more stacked levels of an array of one or more aquatic farming modules (100). Each aquatic farming module (100) comprises an intermodal container (102) comprising a pair of opposing side walls (104) and a pair of opposing end entrances (106), and a housing structure (110) disposed in the intermodal container (102) and extending between the side walls (104) thereof. The aquatic farming module (100) further comprises a set of access doors (130) disposed at one or both end entrances (106) of the intermodal container (100), the access doors (130) actuatable planarly for selectively opening/closing the respective end entrances (106). Selective opening/closing of the end entrances (106) of the intermodal containers (102) in each stacked level facilitates user accessibility to the housing structures (110) in said stacked level for farming aquatic organisms.
