SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR GENERATING CRYPTOCURRENCY BASED ON CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS
A computer-based system collects data associated with a user activity. The data is transmitted from an app running on a computing device with a user account authenticated by the computer-based system. A carbon footprint of the user activity is calculated based on the data associated with the user activity. The system calculates a proof of environmental impact in response to a function of the carbon footprint and a baseline value. An amount of cryptocurrency is generated based on the proof of environmental impact by writing a transaction for the amount of cryptocurrency to a blockchain in response to proof of environmental impact. The amount of cryptocurrency is assigned to the user account authenticated with the computer-based system.
Monitoring sites containing switchable optical devices and controllers
A site monitoring system may analyze information from sites to determine when a device, a sensor, a controller, or other structure associated with optically switchable devices has a problem. The system may, if appropriate, act on the problem. In certain embodiments, the system learns customer/user preferences and adapts its control logic to meet the customer's goals.
CARBON VALUATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present invention provides a carbon value assessment (“carbon valuation”) system, which includes an information processing device that evaluates an amount of greenhouse gas (“GHG”) reduction expected to occur by a technology project in a currency value, on the basis of: estimated reduction of greenhouse gas (“estimated GHG reduction amount”) which is an amount of GHG reduction presumed to be induced by the technology project that is a target to be assessed; a calculation period of the GHG reduction during which the GHG reduction occurs due to the technology project; a discount rate that quantifies possible risks occurring in the technology project; and an emission permit price.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING GENERATION OF A CARBON OFFSET BASED ON PROCESSING OF A RECYCLABLE ITEM
Disclosed herein is a method for facilitating generation of a carbon offset based on processing of a recyclable item. Accordingly, the method may include receiving, using a communication device, transportation data associated with transportation of at least one recyclable item from at least one first device. Further, the method may include analyzing, using a processing device, the transportation data. Further, the method may include determining, using the processing device, a carbon value associated with the transportation of the at least one recyclable item based on the analyzing. Further, the method may include generating, using the processing device, a net CO.sub.2e offset associated with the at least one recyclable item based on the carbon value. Further, the method may include storing, using a storage device, the net CO.sub.2e offset associated with the at least one recyclable item in a distributed ledger.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT EVALUATION APPARATUS, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT EVALUATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
An environmental impact assessment device includes: an input unit configured to accept an input of a utilization purpose of an ICT service from a user, the ICT service being a target of assessment of a reduction effect for an environmental load; a first identification unit configured to refer to a storage unit in which, for each existing case about the assessment, an assessment result about the reduction effect for the environmental load for each activity item and a utilization purpose of the ICT service in the existing case are stored in association with each other, and to identify an existing case associated with the input utilization purpose; a second identification unit configured to identify an activity item for which the reduction effect is highest, for each existing case identified by the first identification unit; an acquisition unit configured to acquire a value of a parameter for an assessment expression for the environmental load, the assessment expression being previously set for each of the activity item identified by the second identification unit and utilization of an apparatus relevant to the ICT service; and a calculation unit configured to substitute the value acquired by the acquisition unit into the assessment expression, and to calculate a value of the environmental load for each of the activity item identified by the second identification unit and the utilization of the apparatus, and thereby, simplifies the assessment of the environmental load reduction effect due to the ICT service.

SERVERS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MODELING THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS
In some embodiments, the disclosure is directed to a system that predicts the carbon footprint of an industrial process. In some embodiments, the system is configured to monitor the amount of energy used in one or more process steps in an industrial process. In some embodiments, the system is configured to determine a carbon intensity for each of the one or more process steps. In some embodiments, the system is configured to generate a report including the carbon intensity. In some embodiments, the system is configured to determine the effect different raw material have on each of the one or more processing steps. In some embodiments, the system is configured to generate an optimum blend of raw materials that reduces the carbon intensity of one or more steps. In some embodiments, the system is configured to generate a blend of source fuels that reduces the industrial facilities overall carbon footprint.
METHODS OF PRESENTING AS BUILT DATA RELATIVE TO AN AGENT POSITION IN AN AUGMENTED VIRTUAL MODEL
Methods for presenting an augmented virtual model of a physical building. A headgear on an Agent is used to scan a physical building and capture aspects of the building at respective locations. The aspects are stored a As Built Data. A portion of the As Built Data is associated with a location in the physical building. A user interface includes a representation of an agent position and presents the portion of the As Built Data in a position relative to the agent location.
Method and apparatus for actively managing electric power over an electric power grid
Systems and methods for managing power supplied over an electric power grid by an electric utility and/or other market participants to multiple power consuming devices, each of which having a Power Supply Value (PSV) associated with its energy consumption and/or reduction in consumption. Power flow to the power consuming devices is selectively enabled and disabled, or power-reduced thereto, by one or more controllable devices controlled by the client device. Power control messages from a controlling server indicate amounts of electric power to be reduced and an identification of at least one controllable device to be instructed to disable or reduce a flow of electric power to one or more associated power consuming devices.
Extension cord
An extension cord includes a plurality of electrical conductors. A plug is configured to electrically couple a first respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors with an electrical receptacle of a power source. An outlet assembly is coupled with a second respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors. The outlet assembly may include one or more outlet receptacles configured to provide electrical power from the power source.
