Coating Apparatus
Provided is a coating apparatus that allows high-quality coating by causing a coated object to pass through a falling curtain of paint without vibrating the coated object. A coating apparatus 1, which coats a surface of a plate-shaped coated object M, includes: a table 10, on which the coated object M is disposed; a flow coater head 20, from which a curtain of paint P falls; a gutter-shaped liquid receiver 30, which is disposed below the flow coater head 20 and which collects the paint P falling from the flow coater head 20; and a horizontal conveying portion 41, which conveys the table 10, on which the coated object M is disposed, in a horizontal direction to pass through the paint P falling from the flow coater head 20.
Vibratory batter application
Batter is applied to food products by depositing the products atop a coating pan which vibrates such that the products are transported along the pan. As this occurs, batter is supplied atop the coating pan and the products. The coating pan is preferably configured such that the products tumble across the pan, thereby better ensuring that the products are coated on all sides with batter. The products are then received on a vibrating drainage pan having a perforated drainage pan surface, whereby excess batter drains from the batter-coated products through the perforations as the products are transported across the drainage pan. Batter-coated products leaving the drainage pan can then be received by a fryer, oven, conveyor, or other food processing equipment.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COATING DISCRETE PATCHES ON A MOVING SUBSTRATE
An apparatus for accurately coating discrete patches of coating on a moving substrate is described. The coating system applies coating to a moving substrate using a coating distribution device. A flow pump pumps the coating from a reservoir into the coating distributing device where a portion of the coating is deposited and the remainder is allowed to returned back to the reservoir. The coating distribution device selectively meters a portion of the coating it receives from the flow pump onto the substrate at a variable rate. When the coating distribution device transitions from metering to not metering and to reverse metering, it induces a vacuum in the coating distribution device. The induced vacuum causes a portion of the coating being distributed onto the substrate to flow in reverse quickly breaking the deposition of the coating.
Device for dosing an additive solution
Device (1) and method for dosing an aqueous solution (2) of an additive, e.g., a non-caking agent, into an amount of a particulate material, such as a salt. The device comprises a conveyor (4) for transporting the particulate material and a dispenser (5) arranged above the conveyor. The dispenser is connected to a supply for the aqueous solution. The dispenser comprises a pouring outlet (10) extending over at least a part of the width of the conveyor (4). The additive solution is poured with a controlled flow velocity over at least a part of the width of the conveyor (4) transporting the particulate material.
Coating device for applying coating color onto a fiber web and method for coating of a fiber web
A coating device and method for coating a fiber web for applying coating color onto a fiber web has a nozzle unit with at least one nozzle part (10), a feeding chamber (11) and at least one equalizing chamber (13; 13), a feed hole (12) between the feeding chamber (11) and the first equalizing chamber (13), and a nozzle slot (14) from which the coating color is discharged through the nozzle slot (14) outlet opening (15). A mixing chamber (20) between the outlet area of the feed hole (12) and the equalizing chamber (13) functions as a means for distributing uniformly the inhomogeneous coating color flow entering the equalizing chamber (13) from the feed hole (12). The coating from the feed hole is directed to a wall (22) of mixing chambers (20) which distribute uniformly the coating entering the equalizing chamber (13).
