Temporary shelter for aircraft maintenance workers
A temporary shelter for an aircraft maintenance worker includes a base pad having a central opening for surrounding and exposing a repair site on an aircraft. A frame anchored within pockets on the base pad supports a canopy to create a protective enclosure for the worker. A junction box securable to the pad includes a plurality of electrical receptacles and quick-connect, compressed-air fittings on an upper surface for powering various work tools. When the pad is anchored to the aircraft with a pair of retaining straps, the erected canopy provides a temporary shelter that protects a worker from sunlight and inclement weather while providing convenient, uninhibited access to a maintenance site.
Covering tent for surrounding a wind turbine at its base during a grouting operation
A tent for surrounding a base of an upstanding structure on a support surface is disclosed. The tent features a covering with a top edge arranged to follow a perimeter of the structure base and a bottom edge arranged to define an outer periphery of the covering. The tent additionally features a base strap arranged for forming a closed loop about the structure base at a predetermined height above the support surface. The base strap supports a first attachment member, and a second attachment member is located along the top edge of the covering for cooperating with the first attachment member to fasten the covering at the structure base. A tightening strap along the top edge of the covering but behind the second attachment member is arranged to follow the base strap to seal connection of the covering and the base strap.
Roof shade apparatus
A support assembly for a rooftop shade system is provided. The support assembly includes a plate defining a plurality of parallel, angled slots that extend inward from one edge of the plate. The support assembly also includes a pole that is operatively connected to the plate such that the angle formed between the plate and the pole is selectively variable. The pole terminates at a pin that is insertable through a grommet on a tarp to thereby support the tarp.
Device for mitigating debris travel and method
A device for mitigating debris travel including a debris barrier, a support-frame, and a ceiling-attachment. The debris barrier includes a ceiling-opening-interface, a closeable-user-opening, an inside-surface, and an outside surface. The support-frame is fixed to the ceiling-opening-interface of the debris barrier. The support-frame is configured to hold open the ceiling-opening-interface, and further configured to hangingly support the debris barrier. The ceiling-attachment is fixed to the support-frame. The ceiling-attachment is configured to couple with a drop-ceiling, and the support-frame is shaped to seal against the support-frame.
