A system for dispensing articles provided initially in a package is disclosed that comprises a frame configured to support the package of articles and a package-opening tool associated with the frame. The frame includes longitudinally opposed front and rear end sections, and an upper support deck extending at least partially between the front and rear end sections and below which a product display area is provided. The opening tool associated with the frame such that its open the package when the package is moved longitudinally on the upper support deck and relative to the opening tool, thereby allowing the articles to be at least partially dispensed from the package into the product display area.

A separating system for separating individual container products from a frame assembly of plastic material, particularly polypropylene, has at least one stamping device (36) that at least partially separates the respective container product from a frame waste. By the stamping device (36) including a free fall body (52) separating the respective frame waste from the associated container product from an initial position during free fall, the separation can be carried out with very high speed (free fall) and additional mechanical components for applying a constraint force on the stamping body during the creating of the separating line can be omitted.

An automated container cutting apparatus configured to cut various sized rectilinear containers without unnecessary costs or lack of transportability. The automated container cutting apparatus includes a right angle transfer conveyor that positions a container in a first cutting position. The apparatus also includes a cutting mechanism configured to cut the container on two adjacent edges while in the first cutting position. The cutting mechanism further includes two cutting elements supported at right angles to one another for horizontally cutting a container on two adjacent edges.

A cutting method and an apparatus are provided which enable a rim area or other part of a vitreous silica crucible to be cut off so as to leave a smooth cut surface without damaging the cut edge, etc. The apparatus for cutting the crucible comprises a disk-shaped cutting blade (10) disposed to be movable with respect to the crucible. Without rotating the crucible (20), the rotating cutting blade (10) is brought into contact with a surface of the crucible wall and pushed forward in the wall thickness direction to make a cut piercing the crucible wall. The cutting blade (10) is moved relatively to the crucible (20) in the circumferential direction of the crucible (20) while keeping the cutting blade in the state of piercing the wall. A rim area (25) of the crucible (20) is thus cut off.
