Snap tap forming method and snap tap attaching tool used in the method
In a snap tap forming method, a partition wall formed along a curvature of a water pipe outer peripheral wall surface is brought into hermetical pressure contact with the water pipe outer peripheral wall and is mounted on the outer peripheral wall at a position corresponding to an inflow opening portion of a gate valve and at which a snap tap of the water pipe is formed. A center drill guide small hole aligned with the snap tap axis is drilled in a center portion of partition wall. A drilling machine inserted in a water flow sleeve of the gate valve is inserted into the aforementioned small hole. A water diverting port is formed in the partition wall and a peripheral wall of the water pipe using a core drill by advancing the drilling machine while estimating a drilling center. Then the drilling machine is removed from a water flow passage in the gate valve, and the snap tap is connected to the water diverting port by a snap tap attaching tool.
TAPPING FITTING
The invention relates to a tapping fitting, having a saddle component for positioning on and cohesively connecting to a tubular component, and having a clamping device for clamping the saddle component on the tubular component, characterized in that the clamping device has a tiltable clamping lever with a sliding profile, wherein the clamping lever is mounted via the sliding profile in a bearing shell in a first peripheral portion of the saddle component, and wherein a clamping band is attached on one side to the clamping lever at a distance from a rotation axis about which the clamping lever is tiltable in the bearing shell, and on the other side to a second peripheral portion, located opposite the first peripheral portion, of the saddle component, such that in the case of a tapping fitting positioned on a tubular component, when the clamping lever is tilted, the clamping band is biased and the tapping fitting is pressed against the tubular component.

An arrangement and method are disclosed for inserting and removing a head of a measuring device to and from a process space. The arrangement includes a measuring device with a measuring head and a retractor tool connected to a valve member. The retractor tool includes rails, a cradle for receiving the measuring device and arranged to slide along the rails, and a driving mechanism for moving the cradle. A valve lock mechanism prevents opening of the valve member if the measuring device is not at a location barring a fluid flow from the process space, and the head of the measuring device is insertable to the process space when the measuring device is received in the cradle.

Above ground water tank fill/drain system
A trench is dug under an above ground water storage tank either before erection of the walls or after the wall is erected. A (rectangular) sump is preferably made of ? inch steel. It serves as a conduit from an inner tank liner port to an outside tank fill or drain port. The system eliminates hoses hung over the top edge of the tank wall. A pump can fill the tank from the outer port. The tank can be drained using head pressure of the water and/or a pump.
