LIQUID LEVEL CONTROL MODULE AND APPARATUS COMPRISING SAME
A liquid level control module comprising an elongated tubular housing immersible through a surface of a liquid and into a bulk volume of the liquid, and first, second, and third electrical switches, and first and second floats movable along the tubular housing. The first electrical switch is disposed within a lower portion of the tubular housing, the second electrical switch is disposed within an intermediate portion of the tubular housing, and the third electrical switch is disposed within an upper portion of the tubular housing. Each of the switches has an open state and a closed state. Motion of the first float relative to the first switch changes its state. Motion of the second float relative to the second switch changes its state, and motion of the second float relative to the third switch changes its state. Thus a two-float module may provide three level control signals.
Automated venting of gas/foam from foam on beer detector for carbonated beverages
An automated system for venting gas from a FOB is provided replacing a conventional manual venting button at the top of a FOB with a remotely controlled vent (bleed) valve attached to the FOB. After that the venting button is reinstalled in parallel with the vent valve. The automated vent valve can be implemented as a solenoid or pneumatic valve and is controlled by a controller. A tube connects FOB's vent outlet with a waste bucket. When the FOB is vented, a mix of gas, foam, and beverage is expelled from the FOB chamber and deposited in this waste bucket.
System and apparatus for controlling fluid flow in drainage systems with a cage device
A fluid control system to control fluid flow within a drainage system is disclosed that includes a cage configured to couple an interior wall of a structure of the drainage system, wherein the cage at least partially surrounds an aperture of the interior wall, and a float device configured to be encapsulated within the cage, wherein while in a resting state, the float device at least partially covers an aperture of the structure of the drainage system. In some instances, when fluid contacts the float device at a flow rate of at least a flow threshold, the float device is configured to at least partially uncover the aperture of the interior wall, or further uncover the aperture of the interior wall. The float device may be formed from a buoyant material and configured to rise from the resting state in accordance with a rising fluid level within the structure.
Empty keg detection for carbonated beverages
A system and method detection of an empty keg is provided. Carbonated beverages from a keg communicates a carbonated alcoholic beverage to a Foam on Beer (FOB) detector. The FOB forms a reservoir and containing a float. Level detection sensors in operative communication with the float identifies the position and movement of the float. An keg's status can thereby be anticipated by float level and speed changes. A the FOB status can thereby operate a touchless tap including a control valve via a tap control board (TCB) that actuates the control valve. A controller in operative communication with the TCB communicates with the control valve, the actuation button and in communication with the level sensor.
Fuel float valve
A fuel system includes a fuel tank that has a wall with an opening. A fuel float valve includes a float and a seal plate that are arranged on opposing ends of a beam. A support carries a connection of the beam. The beam is configured to translate along the support at the connection in response to a changing fuel level. The fuel float valve is movable between first and second positions in which the seal plate is respectively unsealed and sealed relative to the opening. The seal plate is movable relative to the opening in the second position.
Fluid discharge device
The present invention relates to the fluid discharge device of a fluid transfer pipe, and to a technology which alters the sectional area of a discharge hole in proportion to the increase or decrease in fluid discharge flow per unit of time so as to maintain a relatively uniform fluid discharge rate from the discharge hole.
Swimming pool leveling system and method of use
A swimming pool leveling system includes a bracket extending from a first end to a second end, the bracket having openings; a float valve having a body with a float positioned within an interior of the body, the float valve engaged with the bracket via an adjustment device; a pressure reducing valve engaged with the body and to receive a water source; and a base having a base body with an enclosed interior accessible via an opening, the enclosed interior configured to receive a weight, the base engaging with the bracket via one or more securement devices; the base is to rest on a surface such that the bracket extends the float valve into a pool; and the float valve to allow filling of the pool to a desired height.
Testable overfill prevention valve
An overfill prevention valve that is testable to ensure proper functionality of the valve. More particularly, in one embodiment the invention is an overfill prevention valve system including an overfill prevention valve having a blocking component. The blocking component is movable between a closed position, wherein the blocking component generally blocks fluid from flowing through the valve, and an open position, wherein the blocking component generally allows fluid to flow through the valve. The valve further including a float operatively coupled to the blocking component. The system additionally has an actuator that is operable to directly or indirectly move the blocking component to at least one of its open or closed positions to thereby enable testing of the overfill prevention valve.
System and apparatus for controlling fluid flow in drainage systems
A fluid control system to control fluid flow within a drainage system is provided that includes a fluid control device configured to couple to an interior wall of a cylindrical structure of the drainage, and a coupling mechanism configured to couple the fluid control device to the interior wall, wherein, while in a resting state, the fluid control device is configured to at least partially cover an aperture of the interior wall. When fluid contacts the fluid control device at a flow rate of at least a flow threshold, the fluid control device is configured to at least partially uncover the aperture of the interior wall. The fluid control device has a spherical shape, wherein a diameter of the fluid control device has a diameter that is greater than or equal to a diameter of the aperture.
